About Me

I am a writer and a expanded-minded individual. I see the beauty in knowledge and strive to achieve a higher level of intelligent through my studies and research I do in my spare time. I write poetry and I study the Psychology of human beings and of society. The human mind interests me because it's a maze of emotions, feelings and thoughts that affect our everyday living.-time coming, I'm afraid. I believe in karma and do not judge others as I have been judged. I am soft-spoken, though when I speak I am wise and mature in my words. I am young in age, but old in mind though my sense of humour is witty and uncanny. I love history and the literary arts and you can oft times find my head buried in a book or with a pen in hand writing down my latest poetic creation. I am a poet by nature, but I am beginning to dabble in horror/sci-fi writing, though we'll see how that fares for me. I suppose one could say I am an eccentric individual and though I have few friends, it is because I only really need a handful of close ones to keep me company. I am an animal lover with a deep appreciation and wonderment of the natural world. My taste in music varies on my mood, though I prefer metal/death metal/black metal, I have a great understanding of classical, opera, celtic/folk and when I am at a party or enjoying some drinks; house music. I will enjoy anything other than the genres of rap and country. I love music and am very passionate about it. I feel lost when my Ipod's battery dies or I've forgotten to bring it with me when I go out. I play the violin, but unfortunately have not mastered the *** strive to finish my learning when I acquire another violin in which to play upon.If you would like to know more, please message me. :) But do take caution in the fact that I am looking for a relationship and not a one-night-stand or fling. I am serious when it comes to affairs of the heart and I can pick out a liar and a conniver anywhere with my good judge of character. Not to sound arrogant or rude, but as a woman on this site I get messaged by all sorts of rubes and if you simply message me with 'hey how r u' do not expect me to answer as there are plenty of witty and thoughtful conversation starters at hand from those who know how to use them.I have met some really shallow and arrogant guys on here and I am trying to find someone who is not so. Something random about me: when something is really REALLY funny to me, it takes me about 5+ minutes to stop laughing because I'm replaying in my head over and over. Usually the things that make me laugh that hard are the "stupidest" things that give great mental pictures. I love love LOVE to swing and blues dance. If you don't know that is, Youtube it. It's awesome. That's my main form of exercise though I do consider myself active in other ways, but not really a gym person. Dance for me is like smiling with your whole body, so I try to do it as often as I can.Another big love of mine is traveling. I've been all over North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. I've got a few trips on the horizon this year and it's rare for me to go a year without seeing a new country. I really like seeing new things, pushing myself outside of my comfort zone and exploring new cultures. I guess that goes along side my curiosity about people and how we're all so much more alike than we appreciate. I'm very excited about my work. I am privileged to have the position that I at a great non-profit agency that supports individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and conflict with the law. We help a population that normally falls through the systems cracks and who most people would turn away from. They teach me so much about life every day, and are incredibly inspiring. I'm a manager so I am also really passionate about developing and leading others. It's a great challenge and never a dull moment. What I'm looking for in you:I'm looking for someone who can make me laugh! I think it's great when you can meet someone who brings out that playful side of you, keeping you smiling the whole time your together. I struggled with what to put down for the "intent" section because I really just want to take it as it comes, be in the moment and see what happens.     I would like to meet someone who has similar interests and with whom I can engage in a healthy, casual and fun relationship with. I am not looking to get into something very serious as that does not go hand-in-hand with the plans I have for my future, which include travel.
