There’s a lot here as I want someone to love me for me, so please read it all before you give up or decide to contact me. Also, as a gentleman, I’ll (for the most part) let you make the first move (but not always). AND still be your Knight in Shining Armor!-I’m a man of my word and hold myself to high standards. A person’s personal integrity is something that I value greatly. I start out by giving someone I meet for the first time a very high amount of respect. Then it’s up to them to keep it. All of these things I thank my father for.-I feel that a lady should be treated as one. If you don't like the door opened for you, if you don't like holding hands in public or if you don't like a casual touch as we cook together, I'm not your guy. I do not believe that chivalry is dead.-I’ll be there for you thru the bad time and be someone to listen and to tell you that everything will be alright (if that’s what you want or need at the moment). I believe that everything (good & bad) happens for a reason and that it's all part of a bigger picture that we can't comprehend. This belief has gotten me through a very tough time in my life. This was the loss of my youngest son in ***. He was 19 at the time of his death and I miss him EVERY DAY. Life is too short. You never know when it’s your time or the time of someone you love. So live your life! Don’t just pass thru it!-I prefer rock over country, but can listen to it all (except rap). I also like Classical music and Jazz.-I don't care for beer or wine (ok if you do); Considering I’m not much of a drinker. One and maybe two is all that I care for. And if I'm driving, one early then water or soda the rest of the evening, as long as we're going to be out for more than an hour. -I do cook. I don't do fancy, but it's not that I can't. I just like the basic thing for the most part. I thank my mother for this. -I'm a very resourceful. Not quite a "MacGyver” though. I work on all of my vehicles and do all of the repairs around the house. -I believe that a kiss will tell you more that most words will. Not saying that a kiss is wanted or required on the first (or second) date.- I’m looking for someone who will be honest with me about who they are. Someone who wants me for “Me”, faults and all, to create new life experiences with, to become my best friend, to snuggle with while watching a movie, to enjoy a long passionate kiss with, to walk with me hand in hand on the beach (or anywhere else for that matter), to share sunrises and sunsets with and eventually to face all of life’s challenges (good & bad) with. Someone who’s not afraid of a guy that will tell you what’s on his heart. A good since of humor (can give it as well as take it) and a positive attitude is a plus. So in short...what I'm looking for is "The One That I Can't Live Without". I've met several nice ladies that I could have lived with, but I haven't had that "Butterfly Moment" yet. I am a Father, Brother, Former Marine, and a Christian. I am the oldest of three siblings. I like classic rock 60s, 70s, 80,s and 90s. I also like 90s alternative. I collect movies, I own over ***of them in my library. I also collect tools. The right tool is inspiring. "I can fix that" is my Motto. I like to work with my hands. I have Three Associates of Applied Science Degrees. I am studying Russian. I sometime practice my chanter it is the first step to playing the Bagpipes. I dream of owning some Jet Skis! I want to get certified for SCUBA Diving. I have found a class where I can take an 8 hr course and Sky Dive without being strapped to someone else. I have Bungy Jumped several times and loved each time like it was the first. I have plans to build a wood shop for my tools. I have a Maltese that the cat chases. I have a house....big empty nest Being Retired at my age gives me the opportunity to help familiy and friends with several projects that they have not the time nor the skill to do. I volunteer at Church. I have not done a lot of traveling yet... I have been waiting to share that with someone. I want to learn to pray with the person I am seeking with out it being akward! I am 6 ft and ***lbs. I like to make people laugh. Some times I can be too serious. I am not big on watching sports, I would rather try it myself. If I do not know the person can't get interested.
