Hi there, and thanks for checking this out!) and am beginning to think about what comes next, but from a creative, rather than reactionary, stance. I would like to find a woman who is interested in spending time together, getting to know each other, with the intent of moving towards a relationship, although I am taking this process slowly.I am a scientist by profession, a philosopher by nature, a very creative thinker, a subtle artist, an effective teacher, and a great conversationalist.I spend a lot of my time reading, thinking and writing. I enjoy good film (classic film, sci-fi, biopic, historical fiction, etc.), good music (very ecclectic... everything is cool except pop country and heavy metal), I work as a theatrical and concert lighting designer in my spare time (it's the other brain hemisphere manifestation of my love for all things light!), and I mostly enjoy good company and good, deep thinking conversation.I am basically a positive, progressive, loving person who can take almost any punch the world throws at me... like the energizer bunny. I am non-religious, believe that this is our only life, and therefore have no choice but to move on through whatever happens with a positive attitude. Everything in my life, no matter how obscure or bizarre, has always led to a better reality over time. That is what keeps me moving forward. And, unlike Hobbits, I LOVE a good adventure... I am a great cook, so my first date would be a good meal with good wine, perhaps under the stars. I really enjoy meeting new personalities, and for me a lot of attraction is intelligence. Dinner and a comfortable environment is the perfect setting to begin to learn about someone. And to find out whether we can keep up with each other...
