Self-made business owner, educated, generous, family oriented man. I cook, clean, do laundry, can fix and build just about anything, who can listen to hip hop one moment and end an evening in a suit attending a ballet or an Andrea Bocelli concert. Started out as a private in the Marines and ended up in the Army Airborne Rangers eventually retiring from the Army National Guard as an officer. All the while putting himself through college and graduate school. While most are talking about what they are going to do, I have already done it or am doing it.I am a single father of 17 year old teenage daughter whose life is about to change as I see her off to college. I have been divorced for going on 4 years now it's time to find someone to share life with. The pickings are slim for a 20 point plus checklist of wants when it comes to finding a partner. Some of you woman I giggle at the long list of uncompromising list of physical features and qualities you are demanding. Isn't finding a life partner about acceptance for whom that someone is? To top it off we are on an online dating site. I'm on here as I do not want to go to bars and I work from home.I do agree with the chemistry and physical attraction. It has to be there for any relationship. No GQ here, just a guy who is conscious about how who and what he is. I take pride in how I look and will always be clean and neat when out.The pic is recent and no I am not a six pack kind of guy.     Havent written an autobio before so its gonna sound statistical but here goes...I am an open and honest man. I believe in treating others as I would like to be treated. I am both trustworthy and trusting. I love all kinds of sports (live or TV) and enjoy competition. My favs are baseball and football, Tell you my teams later;) I really enjoy skiing in the winter and things around water in the summer. I have been fortunate to travel many places to do both but have been very busy of late (reason for trying POF) and havent scheduled too much. I do enjoy getaways. The most useful one to rme is the gym;) I enjoy the gym as much for what it does for my mind as what it can do for my body, recently i have been on a concert "binge" and consider the few hours a getaway as i can get lost in music or a good musical experience. Having said that, i do enjoy music, dining out , movies, walks, or just relaxing with someone special.     I enjoy alot of things, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycle, car cruises and working on my house. A cozy night on the couch, watching a movie and sharing each others thoughts is always good too :) My kids have always been an important part of my life.     Im throwing in the towel. Maybe some have found someone special on this type of an approach to love.
