OK I decided to rewrite this entire profile thing because apparently I am a bit misunderstood. Firstly I am an extremely funny guy and love to laugh. I have a very sharp wit and love to joke around. I am confident and not****. I am athletic and work out as often as I can, love the outdoors and like animals. I used to own a horse, had a dog and would hope you like pets too. I used to play college football so YES I do love sports. While I am not glued to the TV on weekends I still enjoy watching the games when I have time. I am anything but average. I am very down to earth and grounded. I am kind of a rare mix between refined (when need be) and rough around the edges. I mean I dress well and am well groomed. I also can get dirty as in greasy hands, love to fix things and don’t have issues with cleaning an ugly mess. I downhill, water ski, swim, fish, bike, hike, play any sport, not great at golf and a terrible tennis player.I am very close with my family and friends and I love get togethers. I entertain and have a few blowout parties a couple times of year. Bottom line is nothing better than getting together with a few friends and letting your hair down once in a while so to speak. I really didn't think I needed to put this in here because I assume most men are of the same standards. I am a perfect gentleman. That means, opening the door, helping you on with your coat, walking on the curb side, holding your chair that sort of thing. I laugh when women tell me I am a gentleman because to me it is such a given that men act this way. Perhaps I am wrong. I actually feel uncomfortable if the woman beats me to the door and opens it. I love my career believe it or not. Don't get me wrong I do have those days I would rather hang out at the house or just lay in bed but for the most part I really enjoy what I do. My job involves some international travel and while that part is interesting at times, the flights sure do suck. Aside from all of that there is a saying out there that goes "if your life has been blessed how has your life blessed others?" I believe that in this life your life is not just about you. Of course there are many things you have to be concerned about in your own life however have you ever thought about if your life has had a positive impact on others? I try to live my life in the spirit of that quote. I am not fake, arrogant or any of that. My life is wonderful and I enjoy it. So if you are going to respond please tell me a little about yourself. It doesn’t have to be a novel but more than a line or two would be nice. OK a First date. I have a great idea. You come over to my place. You are dressed in that, how do I say it? Very sexy little black dress. I meet you at the front door dressed in an Armani suit.........baby can you tell me something? I say sure, what it is..........you say........where is the laundry detergent because I would like to get a head start on it tonight....... THAT IS SO HOT I CAN'T STAND IT. Now that I tell you is a perfect first date. OK for those of you that can't take a joke I am kidding. (unless of course this exact scenario fulfills your fantasy then fine.) ok kidding again. OK OK REAL First Date scenario:I pick you up at your place in a stretch limousine. I of course greet you at the door with something in my hands besides sweat. Perhaps flowers, anyway I would have figured it out because we would have spoken a few times. I walk you to the car, open the door for you of course, help you in and make sure you are comfortable. We proceed downtown or to one of your favorite places. While we are driving I turn around and say honey, PLEASE PLEASE don’t spill your drink on the other passengers. I need to drop them off first before we can go to dinner. Well ok maybe the limo is not such a good idea after all.

First off, I would much rather have a conversation about our common interests than this one sided presentation, but anyway, I'll get to it.... I am an involved father, even though my kids are older (23f, 17m 15f). As it should be, they are a central part of my life and I couldnt be more proud of them.Music is a big part of my life. I enjoy and appreciate many types of music and love to go see musicians showcase their talents.I've have seen it stipulated on many a profile....so...I have a career in a field I have worked in since high school. I completed a 4 year journeyman program after high school and have been fortunate to never have been unemployed. I have had the same employer for over 16 years. I also have a dependable car and a place to call home other than my mothers basement.I enjoy most genres of movies and a few cable series, not many network shows interest me, I do however like The Big Bang Theory.I can't capture who I am by talking about what I like to watch on television or what type of music I listen to. I have been told I'm funny, kind and intelligent. I also am honest and forthrite, you know, all the things everyone says they want in someone else. On the other hand, I have been told I'm things that would be censored if I tried to spell them out. I wouldnt nessecarily agree with that opinion, but everyone is entitled to there own. I'm human and I would like to think I have seen enough of this life to know what is most important. So, I'm not here to meet and date a whole bunch of women, ultimately I hope to meet the right someone for me. Who that is, I don't know, but when we find each other........ We can decide that when we get that far.

Ok about me. I will always make time to live life and have fun. I consider myself to be a not so true "southerner" That means I have all the southern social graces (such as respect for all women, saying Please & Thank You, holding doors open and such but none of those other cowboy qualities. I don't smoke, chew or dip or even drink too much alcohol, but consider myself to be pretty handy in the kitchen. It also means I will not send you or reply to a message with "Hey Baby, Let's hook up tonight" .... Hope this helps to explain my statement.I believe in the individual and accept people for who THEY are. I've never tried to change a person (except myself) and hope they don't try to change me. I am a self starter, focused and passionate about most things I set my mind to do. I am very low maintenance, self supportive and do my best at everything I try. Also I've never found a subject that is taboo to talk about so if you want to know just ask.My primary work for the last 15 years is a Massage Therapist but also work as a Vocational Education teacher.
