I enjoy the simpler things in life and would like to share these moments with that special person. I like to go hiking, go to the mountains, visit state parks, take road trips, attend college sports (especially UNC football and UNC women's college soccer - I coached my two daughters in soccer), and, of course, watch sunsets. (I just wish I had more time to do these things.)I have a great sense of humor, love to laugh, and play the occasional practical joke. I work hard, am level-headed, very patient, and dependable. If I give someone my word, it's as good as gold. I have three grown kids whom I love dearly. I usually listen to Christian, country, and some talk radio.Politically speaking, I am a conservative, so liberals need not apply (haha). Love that I***construction! (sarcasm)Nothing beats Dunkin' Donuts coffee. I thank God for His presence, His mercy, and His grace. I see every day as a blessing and time as a gift. First date: let's meet at a fairly quiet place in a relaxing environment (dinner? coffee shop? walk in the park?) to enjoy a conversation with each other.

I never believed that you could get to know someone from a few words written on a page. So, I'm going to keep this short and sweet. I enjoy many different things from family/friends, sports, animals, staying fit, adventure/travel, music and always open to learning new things. If this sounds like you then please give me a shout. Coffee or a walk in the park. Anything that would allow us to talk and get to know each other.

It's hard to describe yourself and maintain any semblance of modesty, so forgive me. My friend's wives call me "a catch" and are constantly trying to set me up, so I thought I'd take matters into my own hands and try this. I enjoy: creating and viewing art, playing the guitar and piano, keeping fit, and scuba diving. I could keep going, but it would be better to leave something to talk about when we meet. lol I am often told I don't look my age. While I'm sure genetics are partially responsible,I've come to believe that it is because I haven't been beaten down by life. We've all been through the ringer at some point and have earned the wrinkles we wear. It's how we wear them that matters. Everyone gets tired, but if tired defines you, we probably aren't a match. The little boy in the picture with me is my son. I have three daughters as well. Two of them are off in college. I share custody of the minors with their mother and love them beyond words. I could say they have a mom already, but the truth is that whomever I fall in love with and marry won't be a step-stranger, but a step-mom. So if your done being a parent or role model then we're not a match. If however, you have room in your heart not only for me, but for my kids then send me a message. Not looking for a babysitter, but someone to share the privilege and joy of parenthood with.Until then... The perfect first date? Hmmm... diving in Cozumel? lol
