About Me

OK, time to change things up a bit.... I am a single professional living in North DFW. My oldest is 26 and is married and has a 2 year old daughter! Yes, I know, I am WAY too young to be a grandparent... But she is adorable! I travel for my work ***days a week, but work from home when I am not traveling. So LOTS of travel perks (hint, hint). I have a home gym and a mountain bike that I enjoy in the cooler weather. I am an old-fashioned kind of guy. I believe in opening car doors, and pulling chairs... I don't judge and am fairly open minded. Most importantly, I am a very staight-forward and strong communicator. I believe that communication is the key to a strong relationship, and that along with trust, can overcome any obstacle. True intimacy begins in communication. REAL AUTHENTIC communication. Anyway, what you see is what you get...What I am looking for.... Not sure exactly what that looks like. I know more what it doesn't look like if you know what I mean. I love animals, but if they are more important to you than people, then we will not be a good fit. I keep my home neat and orderly, so if you life amidst chaos, I probably won't be comfortable there.     I’ve met a lot of women on this site but didn’t find what I am looking for. I even quit looking because I was so frustrated. I became involved with my best friend, but it turns out we’re better friends; no sexual chemistry and without the chemistry, it was impossible to move forward. Anyway… I’m back trying to find the one. More about me… I’m not perfect, but I try real hard to be a good man. I'm an IT consultant with 17 years of consulting experience along with 16 years IT experience working for the DOD. I am currently between contracts looking to secure another contract opportunity, which subsequently has slowed down my attempts at dating. I have a 17-year old daughter who I love with all my heart but I rarely see. She works and lives with her boyfriend so I’m the last person on her list. Being single has been difficult at times and I find the only place to meet woman, who aren’t “frightened” by men, is in bars. I don’t know why but women seem to get freaked out if you approach them anywhere else (book stores, coffee shops, grocery stores, women’s restrooms….just kidding). Although I enjoy live music and go out on weekends to see bands at local bars, I’d rather spend my time outdoors, camping, barbequing, and picnicking with a quality woman. I am a songwriter / musician too but don’t play in a band anymore; I just write and record at home. I also write poetry and editorials when inspiration grabs me. I’m looking to enrich my life and without that special one or being with my daughter, it’s nearly impossible. I’m truly a social person but living a fairly solitary life unless I go out on the weekends but that gets old when you are alone the majority of the time.I don’t like beating around the bush so be direct with me if you want to know something. I’m direct and I find that being honest is truly the only way to communicate. If you are looking for someone who is honest, faithful, integrity-minded, intelligent, funny, talented, goofy, playful (not always) and who is serious about finding that one person to share a life with, drop me a line. I’ve learned from personal experience that most women who don’t smile in their photos are generally unhappy and I’m looking for the lighter side of a personality. Visual enticements with me enjoying looking at you, you enjoying looking at me smiling...maybe even seeing a twinkle in your eye. Lot's of genuine laughter throughout the evening...complete with intellectual and stimulating, yet not so serious conversation wrapped in a warm comfortable familiar feeling. Maybe a midnight stroll or carriage ride if the weather permits. To close the night, a warm, sensual, sweet tasting electrified kiss which we are both excited about. Yep, that sounds preetty wonderful to me. If you're uncomfortable with the above, we could go to a regular resteraunt, and maybe to a movie, or a wine-tasting, or a show in the loop, or listen to a blues band in Soulard. There are a lot of wineries in the area, we could check one of them out... How about a cafe in St. Charles?
