About Me

I think I can describe myself as old fashioned (but in a good way!) I am considerate of others, most always polite and usually have a smile on my face. Though I can be a bit of a grouch driving in the car....(my pet peeves are tail-gaiting and line-cutting). It can be sarcastic sometimes, but always makes you think. I love to laugh, especially with my longtime friends who "get" my type of comedy. I put up a good front, but I generally melt when I read a poignant story or some dramatic act of kindness in the news. I am still a kid at heart...I enjoy watching and participating in all types of sports (basketball, football, softball, running, skiing, hiking, volleyball, etc) and am an avid fan of the NY Jets. (I do love an underdog.) Mets and Celtics round out the sports fandom. I like 60's, 70's and 80's music and am a fan of "One Hit Wonders". I like working on my house - everything from normal maintenance to replacing roof shingles. I would like to meet someone who is caring and has a good sense of humor. Generally, a woman's eyes are what attracts me first. They are the windows to the soul, as they say. She should be self confident and interested in my life and what I have to say, or be comfortable enough in each other's presense not to say anything at all. I love to hug friends and special people in my life, so my match would hopefully be a loving, sweet person.
