About Me

I'm a 49 year old man starting his life over. I was in Marine Corps. And spent 20 years in Retail/ Management. I was divorced in '04 and have no kids. I was laid-off and decided to get a Degree in Electronics. I love my job now and am looking forward to the future. Now , it's time to complete my life and find someone to fall in love with and give it all meaning. I want to try new things and visit new places. I like camping, reading, working on the old radios I collect, bike riding and being by the water where I live. I'm honest. I call and am where I'm supposed to be when I promise. I'm very affectionate.I would respond if someone wrote. I would hope someone would respond if I contacted. I'm not big on social media. ***, messaging, *** term *** texting is not my thing. I only have a computer for limited reasons. I would like to meet someone face to face. That's how you get to know someone. If that's too old fashioned, I understand and maybe I'm not for you. My last relationship lasted 1 year and because of it, I will not settle for less than I want. She didn't give as much as I did. So it was a learning lesson.     This is the hard part. Just to talk about myself without having a conversation. It seems so egocentric. Oh well... here it goes!!I like people. We are amazing creatures! We do incredible things and I like when these things are done with compassion, and wit, and talent. I often feel overwhelmed by most people. They seem to know what to say and how to say it. I have learned that as a somewhat introverted person, I take longer to sort out what I have to say. When I was younger, this trait made me feel left out because I didn't always take part in conversations. I like to go out and try to be sociable, occasionally force myself to have conversation with people I don't know. Its hard to do but getting easier. I love live music, if it is good and original and catches my attention.I like things like museums and art galleries and festivals, but I don't like to go alone. I enjoy kayaking and camping and keeping somewhat fit. I joined a gym last year but I like to be outside and haven't been there all summer. I will go back when it gets cold out. I like real people that don't have to be on their phone all the time. I don't watch much tv, but I like to go to movies once in a while. I started my first garden this year, it has been a learning experience and I think I will do it again next year.I am looking for a woman that can make me feel wonderful with just a look and a smile.
