I'm from the South, I open doors for people, especially women, and I say "yes ma'am, no ma'am, thank you and please". Its just the way I was raised. So if you appreciate manners, the first date won't be time wasted. Beyond that we'll just have to see won't we.Separated for 2 years, divorced a year and a half ago. I don't feel the need to get married anytime soon, but I do want a long-term, committed and monogamous relationship. If you have kids that's great, hope you're as blessed with yours as I am with mine. My ex-wife and I co-parent well - no games or drama - I'm in TN when I need to be and there for my boys when they need me. Hope you and your ex (if you have one) get along. Its not always easy but worth the effort for the kids' sake.Otherwise, I'm good at my job which is how I got from TN to CA. I'm a lawyer by profession but work for a financial *** don't particularly care what you do for a living as long as you care about your work and are happy in it. I'm like . . . 7th. :-) An ideal first date would be to meet for coffee, tea, or frozen yogurt/ice cream if its been a good day. Or maybe a frozen margarita if its been a really good day. Ha! Preferably somewhere quaint, sort of quiet or at least quiet enough that we can here each other, since the object is to see if there's mutual interest, right?

I'm never good at this sort of stuff. My hobbies, I like to fish whenever I get a chance to. I like to do a lot of things some may not be considered hobbies, but it keeps me busy.
