Well what can be said, really, that would influence the outcome of an actual meeting? Do you really want to know that I love to run and I like books and theatre; does it really help us to assess each others' personalities to know how our energies are particularly engaged? It is nice I suppose to have a little space to scrawl some thoughts, and if they are witty or humourous a reader may feel their time has not been utterly wasted on the effort. But if the adage is true, that a picture is worth a thousand words, then photos in this section are probably a more efficacious use of the available real estate. Although some writing is obligatory to determine literacy and grammatical competence, which undoubtedly are important predictors of compatibility.I would only like to say about myself that through travels in the Arab and African worlds, which I've undertaken over the preceding decade, my interests have burgeoned in a surprising way, although not in a way completely incompatible with my personal strengths. Through contact with individuals in other parts of the world - indeed, very ancient parts of the world - I have sustained a "cultural shift".
