Hi there!Right ...I may be a bit on the shy side when it comes to meeting new people, but when I do know the people I am with I can be quite extroverted. I LOVE to make people laugh and think the capacity to laugh is one of the greatest gifts that people have. Laugh with me, laugh at me, laugh behind my back ... I really don't care. Just LAUGH!I also like to play and love being outdoors. I do not think that life can be best experienced staring at a television screen, so I keep that 'activity' to a minimum.“We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” So, although I am 47 according to the calendar, I sometimes have a hard time thinking of myself as being the age that I am.I am very honest (maybe to a fault), reliable, strive to maintain integrity and can be trusted. This would be a good time to inject another favorite quote, "Do what is right; let the consequences follow". In general I am happy with who I am, but not enough to keep myself from trying to improve.I am not currently formally affiliated with any organized church, but strive to conduct myself as a Christian each and every day. Also, I am making a somewhat sincere effort to grow in this area. I know this may ruffle some feathers, but I'm not completely unconvinced that sometimes organized religion can get in the way ... 'nuff said.Although I don’t mind my own company, I really do want to find someone special to share my life with moving forward. I don’t expect to find that someone right off the bat, and would prefer to date casually and let a potential relationship develop in its own time. I am hoping to meet women with a similar no-rush/no-pressure approach to dating and relationships. However, once a relationship has begun I would be fully committed to it and would appreciate the same in return.I tend to find myself attracted to women who possess some mix of the following qualities: like to laugh (goofy/silly are pluses), don't put on heirs/are comfortable in their own skin, are not overly infatuated with appearance, take care of themselves physically and emotionally, enjoy an active/adventurous lifestyle, are somewhat independent, are kind but don't let themselves get pushed around, and have appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue at least once in the last 10 years. OK, so the last one was a joke;).     Just like almost everyone, looks are important to me. However, Character and attitude are just as important. You like nice things but know that it's all really just "stuff" and does not define you. Your able to wait for things you like or want to do. You need your own group of friends, as I do mine, yet are totally happy it just being the two of us for life. Family is great but not your boss. Be responsible and don't worry that other people think your "dumb" for doing what's right in your eye. It's about "right and wrong" not "cool, sexy, and hip". If you love movies half as much as I do, we'll get along great. If you enjoying sports, computer games, hobbies, and your alone time, then by all means move to the head of the line. Want to teach someone how to not worry what others think of his dancing abilities, step right up. Want to travel to cool, off the beaten path locations (Worldwide). If you understand that guys are guys and girls are girls and that we do not think, talk, communicate, act, show emotion, or just plain do everyday things like each other, than your someone I'd like to get to know. Do you want someone that is a full blown romantic or someone that only shows that side of him to you and close family? There is a difference. Are you "High Maintenance", might as well delete me from your search. Not that I can't handle someone like that, I just choose not to.
