I guess I'm normal...if being stuck trying to figure out what to type in this section counts!So a little about me. I like the outdoors; as in golfing, hiking, and the beach. Golf for the challenge...me against the course. Hiking for the beautiful scenery and exercise. The beach as a nice place to relax and unwind. I do enjoy a few sports, and have my favorite teams; but would not characterize myself as a sports junkie. I admit I probably watch more TV than I should, but as long as I stay active with golf, hiking, and the occasional run, I figure its a fair trade off. I enjoy shows like House, CSI, Criminal Minds...those with a little suspense or mystery to them. I have traveled to many places, and look forward to seeing a few more.; full of history, culture, and the food...oh the food! At the other end of the spectrum the worst place I have been to is Haiti; A beautiful country, but the living conditions many Haitians live in are unimaginable to those who have never been there. I am easy going and enjoy making people laugh, although my jokes or pranks aren't always successful. I have messed up more than one punchline. I try to be lighthearted and poke more fun at myself than others. So if your up for a few laughs.... For first dates I like to keep it simple: I prefer daytime dates vice night time dates. Somewhere that provides an opportunity to talk and get to know each other in a relaxing setting that is not too formal or busy with distractions. A place where my date feels comfortable which sets the mood for open and honest communication, allowing us to get to know each other. I mention 3 of my favorites below:1. A hike on one of Oahu's many trails, one suited for my date's comfort and skill level.2. Relaxing at one of the Ko Olina lagoons, a light picnic lunch, and some snorkeling.3.

    Thanks for stopping by to read my profile. So far I would have to say I have enjoyed my time here and am planning on staying as long as possible. That being said it would be nice to find someone to spend my time with besides my mother. She is the main reason I am here and attending to her needs will be a primary focus for me now and in the future. I am starting over as it pertains to life. New job , new friends, new enviroment and hopefully a new love life. I left my old life behind and am looking foward to some new adventures and new experiences. The winds of change have turned my life upside down but rather fight it, I have chosen to embrace it and see where it leads. My time is somewhat limited at the moment but that will not always be the case. I hope that anyone who is reading this would understand that I am trying to do what is right for my mother while also trying to rebuild my life at the same time. I am not going to write a bunch of lies to try and impress you. Right now my life is a challenge but I will survive and things will soon get better. Meeting my better half would certainly be a step in that direction. Do I have some baggage...yes...who doesn't? I suppose I should tell a little about myself. I am shy at first until you earn my trust at which time I become fiercly loyal. I am a realist and very pragmatic(my midwestern upbringing). Patience is one of my best qualities as I rarely lose my temper. I am also extremely laid back and don't take myself too seriously. My humor tends to be on the dry side with a bit of sarcasm mixed in. I try to stay informed about the world around me and generally have an opinion(right or wrong). I enjoy learning and try to gain some type of wisdom whenever possible. I like to think of myself as romantic although I am way out of practice in that department. I am selective when it comes to dating but when I do find someone to direct my affection towards I tend to want to spend significant time with that person. The key word in that is time. It does not have to be big events and larges groups of people. To me it is the small things in life that really matter. I want a best friend, lover, confidant and person to spoil all rolled up into one. I could write a whole lot more about that and other subjests but ***'ll save that for anyone interested to learn about later.I should probably also include some things that I am not looking for. Still married or separated sorry but I am not a home wrecker. Excessive drinker or bar fly, again sorry been there done that. Serial dater or scammer find someone else to prey on. Looking for a sugardaddy keep looking because I am wealthy in the mind and heart not in the wallet. Last but not least if you feel the need fix me into what you want as opposed to letting me be ,faults and all, then please find another project.I really don't want end on a negative so I will finish by saying that I am one of the good guys it seems so many women say they desire. I don't cheat, try really hard not to lie. I have not and never will abuse any woman. I am far from perfect but maybe I can at least be a source of joy for someone out there. One thing I can say is that I understand how hard relationships can be. The sooner the better. Get it over with so if there is a second date it can be the new first date since few people are really themselves on a first date.

    This planet we live on may be large but I'm just looking for that one...We all seem to like the finer things in life but in the long run we realize that the basic things in life are more fulfilling...
