I am looking to see if there is someone I understand and can relate to. I don't know if I have an uniqueness that I can put in words, I am self sufficient, dependable, and believe my principles are well grounded in the core values my parents *** me. I was married for 21 years and have been divorced for 9. Funny thing is I get along with my ex better now than ever. Probably because we don't live in the same house or the same state.What values my parents didn't give me the military did. Who knows what my third one will be? Maybe just a traveler. Other than that I like to camp, fish, hunt, kayak, canoe, hike, bike, and other outdoor activities. Partly because it is a family favorite with lots of memories and also because it's so peaceful. My first fishing trip I looked over the edge and saw a 9 foot gator looking up at me, my second I saw an 11 foot gator climb onto a river bank and gulp a huge turtle in one chomp. That stopped my water activities for a while but since then I have ventured onto the water again in my kayak from time to time, even during gator mating season.I have lots of other stories to tell, if you ask I will share. Some I bet will have you rolling over laughing, hopefully next to me. As you can see I have a good sense of humor and try to keep a positive spin on most things.I am looking to make friends at first and see what it leads to. I'm looking for someone to hang out with and get to know better. I am looking for someone to build a good, lasting relationship with. For now, just meet, hangout, go do things together, and get to know one another. Then see if something builds between us. If so, then great. If not, then I still have a good friend to hang with and nothing is lost. Love charity work and helping people who try to help themselves, maybe even to a fault. If someone is in need, is trying, and I have the ability, I will do without to do what I can. I'm not loaded with riches, but can say I am rich with great friends I have made along the way. I have been hurt majorly in past relationships, maybe cause I'm somewhat too caring and give my heart too trustingly. I have 2 daughters, ages 14 and 15, which I have had custody of and raised alone, since they were 3 and 4. I just moved back to La. and starting to live again.
