As is quite common on these dating sites, I am not sure how to describe myself without it sounding like a sales pitch. But here goes nothing! I am honest, sometimes to a fault! (but everyone will tell you they are!) I strive to be a thoughtful, caring, loyal, kind, romantic, adventurous, industrious, free-thinking kind of guy. (I am also the master of the rambling run-on sentence! And that's not even my best quality!!! (pun intended!) I do like to joke around, and have been known to cause mischief! But I can be serious when the need arises. I am searching for knowledge, wisdom, and a deeper understanding of the world we live in. I'd like to think of myself as an intellectual with a strong back, a fool possessing wisdom, a trusting skeptic, an accepted misfit, a city raised country man, and a philosopher in a ball cap...I am a conservative Christian with values, morals, and integrity. I believe in inherent human goodness, and try to show mine on a daily basis. I believe in random acts of kindness. Sometimes the smallest of things mean a lot to someone! I read much, and love to learn new things.I am a strong man who believes in being prepared for whatever life may throw my way. I believe in being self sufficient... some may call me a survivalist, I call myself prepared. I would love to get back into gardening and learn canning, and produce as much of my own food as possible.I am a competitive shooter, primarily handgun, but would like to try long range rifle, and some more sporting clays! Don't be afraid, the real shooters are down to earth and friendly, machismo is only attached to a beginners gun... I am happy to share whatever I have learned. For the not-so-good points; I cannot dance!!! I am stubborn and opinionated, but I base my opinions on fact rather than emotion. I will admit when I'm wrong. I do not back down from an aggressive confrontation, but will always try to find a peaceful solution... I do NOT tolerate people who abuse women or children. I have a low tolerance for liars, users, manipulators, elitists and sheeple, and avoid them like the plague. I do smoke. (but am considerate while smoking.) I am not a morning person. And... I'm bald. Yup, take off that ball cap, and I'll make you squint! Very bald! Good looking scalp though, if I do say so myself! ; I change projects frequently, and sometimes multi-task to the point that I become a little too focused on what I am doing. I am a perfectionist, but I'm trying to learn that not everything needs to be perfect. I may enjoy a good beer now and then, but will never return to my far distant hard partying past. I stay up a little late, but because I want the day to go on just a little longer. I may work a little too much, but I have goals and aspirations that I am working towards.I was in construction for thirty years, but grew tired of it. I have farmed full time for my friends for the last year and a half, which is the first job I can actually say I loved! I am also rebuilding a machine shop/ plastic injection molding shop, while renovating my home. Spare time is not spent in front of the TV. (In fact, I never unpacked my TV when I moved here almost 2 years ago!)I have lived in many different places, and have walked many different roads. And I don't judge by the paths another has walked in the past. Hello Ladies,I have been told I am quick witted, funny, adventurous, fit, silly, sarcastic, good looking, intuitive and handy. Diversity is important as I enjoy alot of different actvities but not incredibly partial to one. I enjoy the winter months as this is hockey season, not because of watching hockey but because I play it and Coach my sons hockey team. I enjoy snow boarding and am able to cross country and down hill too.If you enjoy hanging out after a day of sking/snowbaording by the fire or just chilllaxing with a movie.Taking in a game or conversation at the local pub is a great time too. I am not shy taking in new adventures/interests, especially if I have never experienced them before. the more diverse, the more intrigue I am.Family is dear to me as is the time spent with them, watching them grow and learn is a big part of my life. I enjoy thier company, the stories and their laughter!.lol YEah Baaby!..about 3 heads are peaking out the window when I pick up the coffee wondering WTH?I enjoy the comadarie of team sports, may it be my own team or coaching my sons team, helping people in daily life seems to be a common theme for me, at my job or coaching, its what Im passionate about. Halloween is a favorite day of the year as its the only day of the year you get to dress up and pretend to be someone else..lol. Not just dressing but making the costumes, I have a real Knights helmet I made myself because a fake one wouldnt do the costume justice. :DLove to dance, out to the pub to socialize with friends or a night out on our own. I enjoy a variety of music, dance music,pop or classic rock even some country and Eminem. My favourite band when I was younger was Rush but at the same time I was a closet BeeGees fan. I even bought the Grease album un beknowest to my Metal head freinds...dont tell, they still dont know..LOLI'm not looking for a quick hook up or being a habitual dater.
