About Me

Well, here goes. I'm looking to make some new friends, and if anything more comes from that.......great, if not...friends are good too. I've been divorced for about a year, have a wonderfully vibrant young lady of a daughter attending college (really miss her while she's in school). I'm just kinda starting to get back into the swing of things, took some time just for myself (healing, making sure my daughter was adjusted, and finding myself again). At this point in my life, I never expected to be thinking of "dating" again, sounds really strange. I'm trying to think of how I would describe myself. I guess some of my qualities would include loyalty, respect, integretity, finally learned patience lol, pretty outgoing although I like quiet time at home...I don't know, that's a start, I'll leave the rest up to you to decide.I'm interested in meeting someone who I can build a true friendship with, someone to eventually fall in love with, someone who really cares about me, shares their day, hopes and dreams, shares when they're hurting, or when something really good happens to them. I really want to find someone I connect with and communicate with on every level, day to day stuff to intimate feelings and emotions. Sounds like I'm a bit of a romantic lol, maybe......I just want to be happy with someone and for them to be equally happy.Age says 47.............not sure why, but I'm only 46! lol........I'm pretty open to other's ages, not going to put a range, maturity is really more important.Anyway, I'm kinda going on, so I'll wrap it up by saying thanks for reading, if at all interested please drop a note, if not........good luck.     Hi to anyone that reads my profile and hope you are fit and well. It is hard to sit here and try and fight my corner but after losing my wife to cancer 10 years ago I have had one or two relationships but things just haven't turned out I hoped, one of which has just ended because there were too many family issues on her side which really affected our well being. I am a very independent chappy spent 11 years in the army which helped me to develop into an adult at a very young age and kept me fit and healthy. Some 16 years later I have put one or two pounds on but cycle every day to keep a level of fitness. I have my own company and do quite a lot of sports trading which is enjoyable and often financially rewarding. I am a northern lad now living on the south coast looking for friends and maybe the woman of my dreams. I am far from desperate but it would be nice to cuddle up to someone on those cold winter nights or sunbathe together during the warm summer months. One more tiny addition I absolutely love 80's music and need someone to take me by the hand and whisk me away to an 80's party.
