I've been single a while and a recent birthday has made me realise time is passing at a seemingly increasing rate, so thought I'd better pull out the proverbial finger and do something about it! Certainly, I'm not 'desperate', I'm far happier single than I have been in wrong relationships, but hopefully won't fall into one of those again!I have been on here before, but without success. I'm hoping that 'the one' may now also be subscribed....are you?I enjoy the outdoors; mountain walking, skiing, country pubs etc. I like dining out, but also like to entertain at home and enjoy cooking for others. Despite having something of a sedentary desk based career, I'm good with my hands and there is little that I won't attempt practically. I try to see the best in every situation; I'm a happy optimist, my 'glass' is neither half full or half empty, its positively overflowing!!I love to travel, have done so widely, and have now booked flights to Japan for Christmas.Attraction is a funny thing, its a combination of lots of little things, some of which you aren't even aware of, so I'm not going to prescribe any attributes for my 'ideal partner' except maybe you should be slightly younger than me...maybe not? I've never married, or had children. I realise its probably unlikely now, especially if you are of a similar age, but remain open to the idea. Women with children are also welcome. Well, that would be nice!
