Hi, I'm open, honest, laid back, down to earth (apparently required in an online dating profile), and I don't do drama. I have two kids (12,***that live with me some of the time and they are a high priority in my life. I'm not religious but I believe that if there's one purpose for my life, it's to raise my children to be better people than I am. I believe in treating others the way I would like to be treated. Life is short. Let's get out there and enjoy it!I work full time as a computer programmer by day. I play bass guitar in a band and rehearse one night a week with the band. We play gigs about once or twice a month. I like to see live Blues, Jazz, RB or Rock shows (anything but Country). I like to travel. I'm looking forward to taking the Harley out for some weekend rides this summer. I also like tropical destinations. I like to cook and BBQ but I hope you're a better cook than I am. Don't let my age fool you. I'm a 36 year old man trapped in a 50 year old body. I guess I lean more toward Mary Ann than Ginger. Following that analogy, i would be the Professor with a touch of Gilligan. I am attracted to petite, witty women who have a good sense of humor and aren't afraid to use it. I'm looking for chemistry. I'm looking for my soul mate. Is it you?P.S. My photos are recent. If we meet and you don't look like your picture... you're buying me drinks until you do! First date should be brief in case the chemistry isn't there. A fun second or third date might be a motorcycle ride to destinations unknown stopping at places that look interesting until we find a place to eat lunch/dinner and maybe catch a live show or other local festivities.

I am looking for my soulmate, someone that makes me feel emotion which no words can encompass. A person that makes me feel as if we have known eachother in a past life, a woman that understands me, able to understamnd and finish eachother sentences because we understand one another, make eachother feel secure and protected. To be able to look in eachothers eyes when speaking, to feel a deep-seated connection, level of comfort and confidence. To be with and find your soulmate is one of the precious treasures of life, I am hopeing that this person is out there and that I am able to find her one day. First date can be doing anything, a cup of coffee, taking a walk, having dinner, even sitting on a park bench in the rain.

Is anyone really good at writing these things? I keep planning on composing something really thoughtful or profound that will leave the reader dying to meet. Alas, the truth is that I'm just a genuine person who is caring, respectful, confident and filled with positive energy and a warm disposition. The guideline advises to talk about hobbies, yourself and what makes you unique and taste in music. So... hobbies are mostly activity related - love biking, swimming, skiing, hiking, exploring. I also enjoy good food & good wine (sometimes a tad too much!). I don't know if this makes me unique, but I'm here to meet someone. I hear these stories about guys wanting to ***, chat, etc for weeks and weeks. That's not me. If we speak or *** times, I want to meet up. For goodness sake, why else would one be on a dating site?!? I love music (perhaps another hobby). I have a 12,***song collection in iTunes - tons of rock, blues & soul. To me, a night out consisting of a good meal with friends and then seeing live music is hard to beat!I'm a person who stays busy with friends, activities and some personal & work related travel. It sure would be nice to meet someone and create the special & secure feeling of having a "connection" in life.I'm plagiarizing from "The Bucket List" but I think a good measure of success and purpose in life is answering yes to "have you had joy in life" and "have you brought joy to others"........on both counts, I'm trying! I think a 1st date is about simply seeing if there's any chance of a match so my idea of a good first date is any place where two people can sit and talk without too many crazy distractions. Now the second date, there's the question!
