I am 49 years young and single now for about 3 years. Getting back into the dating scene in search for someone to spend the next half of my life with. Trials and tribulations up to this point has made me appreciate life and grow as a person. I consider myself a happy person ,yet as most of us on here I am missing a partner in crime Lol. I am currently an RGM at a major food company, spent the last year and a half achieving this goal and it has been very rewarding so far. Things I like to do are movies, live music, watching my son race his dirtbike, all types of music, food etc.. I have some great friends and family that I cherish daily. I have been labeled as a giver and not a taker, sometimes too much but this is who I am so I kind of like it. My good friends call me Dr. Phil , I have a good ear and I guess according to them give good advice : ) Having been married before I do miss the companionship of having a partner. I dont consider myself a super romantic type but I am an affectionate type person and like the Public displays, snuggling etc.Despite the reputation of this site I am not looking for a "hookup" . That seems to be an issue with most women's profiles I read . I am looking for a good woman to continue my life with.Update ***I do now have a female roommate , a friend with kids who hit a bump in the road and needed a place to stay for a while . There is no physical or emotional involvement with my roommate now or in the future. I am still 100% single and come and go as I please . Still looking for a serious relationship . This may not be a thing to list on a dating site but I don't like surprises and like to get as much out in the open upfront and it is something I appreciate in return .I am the "nice guy" and want to be that to a good woman . I am almost 50 and being serious is a big deal too me . I have 4 children , 3 grown and a 14 year old son . 2 grandsons . I am in all of their lives and enjoy anytime I get to see them :) I have my youngest son every other weekend etc . I have a good job , car etc . I was married for 19 years , divorced and jumped into another marriage way too fast and *** red flags , so that was a short year and a half wasted . I have no drama with my job, my kids and or exes. I guess if you are still reading this lol then say hello . I have dated a few people off here and it just seems better to get some things out there first and from both parties . A first date for me would depend on how the conversation goes during the internet part of dating, once we both are comfortable I think dinner is a good start to get the initial first look in the books. A nice place not too loud to overtake our conversation and a safe public place to keep her feeling comfortable and safe.
