-filled week of bicycling on the Gitche Gummi Trail, hiking on the shores of Lake Superior, smores by the bon fire, canoeing and hikes in the woods. We swam in Lake Superiour - twice! Amazing. Sailing on the tall ship was the experience of a life time for my son and I.In June I rode on a ***mile bicycle camping trip in Northern Miinesota. It was a great trip with good food, great friends and wonderful conversation. And as always, enjoyed time with friends in front of a fire and cooking out. Just got back from another bike ride, first spring rain. Other than that, I haven't done much. I would rather:Be outside...than in.Be in the sun...than in the shade.Cook with someone...than for them.Enjoy the company...than look around.Watch a movie...than TV.Exercise...than attend a sports event.Exercise outside...than in a club.Have a tap beer...than a bottle.Have a nice bike...than a nice car.Have a few great friends...than tons of acquaintances.Build a fire...than sit by a gas one. Be alone...than with someone who doesn’t appreciate me.Take a unknown road...than use a map.Go without...than go in debt.Go on an adventure...than a plan a trip.See a sunset...Go camping...than stay in a hotel.Sit by a lake...than a stream.Be monogamous...than date around. Be the best me...than outdo someone else.I subscribe to Younger Next Year. If you haven't read the book, buy it. I have given away about 10 copies and counting. There is Younger Next Year and Younger Next Year for Women. I am very active and take really good care of myself with balanced diet, exercise and a positive outlook. Anything from Starbucks outside to Dinner and ballgame or a Comedy Show,Small venue musical show is also great! To take a walk in the park for a first date or a hike is also fun if its leisurely. I like to learn about the person in a setting that is lighthearted and entertaining if possible. I suppose anything where there is ample chances to converse yet some entertainment to ease the pressure of a first date. Just a thought.
