I am recently divorced from a 23 year marriage. Character and integrity are traits that have great importance to me. looking for a friendship to be built on honesty, trust and respect. these are very important. Christian values also. Let's see....I am hardworking, reliable, trusting, dedicated, I value family. I am honest and trusting to a fault. I enjoy spending time with my kids, supporting their activities. I have 3 kids, 23yo girl who has just been married, 19yo boy is in college, 16yo girl is a junior in high school.. they are great kids and are a source of joy and not stress. I like outdoor activities and riding dirt bikes and i have discovered that surfing is a blast! I like short road trips if i have someone to share the experience and a smile with. I am a positive type of guy and my glass is more than half full, as a matter of fact it is overflowing.... I think I just spilled it all over the floor...Lol. I feel that i am very blessed and thank GOD for it. My sense of humor is a little corny and is sure to make my kids eyes roll... occasionally sarcastic(in a good way).... I can laugh at myself as I seem to have plenty of opportunity. I am very handy around the house and good at fixin(southern term) most anything. I think I would be attracted to someone who has good character. She is happy(a happy person is a beautiful person) She is mature and wise and does not require raising(her mother did this well) She takes care of herself. I realize that beauty and fit at 20 something is different than 40 something and quite honestly I way prefer the 40 something(old guy-young girl thing is a little disturbing to me). She is kind and thoughtful. She knows that mature does not exclude playful and fun. She desires and values real intimacy and harmony. Her words are generally positive and uplifting. She is not perfect but wants to be perfectly loved....WOW....sounds like a fairytale princess... LOL... I don't know if this person exist and I am not sure if I would be worthy of her.... but I do believe this... Aim high, you have a much better chance getting what you aim for.

I love the outdoors, love gathering around a bonfire. I love to camp and fish when time allows me. Im easy going and layed back. I have open mind to about everything, I have a 18 yr old daughter that just graduated this year of ***. Im a country boy that likes to go out and horseback riding. After my divorce, I stayed single for too long, well till my daqughter grew up . I wasnt planning to bring women in and out of her life so I chose to stay single.... It wasnt boring as I watched her grow up and play softball as a pitcher. I enjoyed every minute of it as it was her life at that time. Now its my time and I would like to meet people and maybe find some one of my dreams...I am into country music but do listen to about anything. my goals are now to get healthy and quit smoking. I now work out in gym when I`m not working.

UPDATE: After 28 years with a mustache, I decided today, June 18, ***, to shave it off. Time for a new look, this will take some getting used to. So some of my pics of me with it. Without it are the most recent.I am a sincere, warm hearted, honest, animal loving guy who is a little difficult get to know at first, actually sometimes shy. (opposite than my professional life, as I deal with the public everyday) But once you get to know me and I warm up to you I open right up. I truly put the needs of others before my own, almost to a fault, but I've always been like that and I don't think I'll every change. That doesn't mean I go without, just means that if someone I truly care for needs my help, I'll put what I have to aside to help them. I have many interests, which include cooking (ex-chef), home renovations, dancing, anything vintage, interior design, photography, gardening, skating, travel, cultures, and of course anything my kids do. I always love to learn new things.I like to spend my days off with my family (especially my boys) or friends, going to see new things, small (or long) road trip is always fun. How about antique shops, or auctions. When all else fails, sleep in and relax, watch a movie, simple down time is always good for the soul.I love what I do for a living, although the hours are long and change all the time, therefore making it difficult for normal personal time, but I make it work. I do like to go back as often as I can as most of my friends and family are there. Also have family in France, and love to go there to visit as well when possible.Enough about me, now the question is what am I looking for? Well quite simply, sincere, honest, good hearted, a genuine care for others, don't judge a book by it's cover mentality, ambitious, family oriented, etc. Oh and a sincere smile :) would be nice. I'm kinda partial to that. First date could be almost anything. Whats important is that both of you are relaxed and comfortable. This tends to make conversations flow much easier. My idea would be meet for a drink and talk, any place is fine or go for walk and talk. I'm open to any possibility.
