One of my passions is cooking. I love cooking for large groups or a small intimate dinner for two. By nature I am a care taker and in the past has led to a one sided relationship so would love to be with someone who knows how to give and receive. To me intimacy is as much an asset as sex. Don't get me wrong I think sex is a vital part of a healthy relationship, but intimacy is and should be apart of daily living. To me a simple touch can be more powerful than words. I spend time working out. I enjoy eating healthily but not to the point of obsession.I am a lover of cats, dogs,(especially Great Danes, they have a special place in my heart) horses and exotic birds. I use to run an Exotic Bird Sanctuary and was very rewarding. I was a vocal major in college, therefore I love to sing and make music. I also play the piano and was the minister of music at a church for 10 years. I spent 20 some years in the Hospitality Management Industry however; I left that field of work in ***to take care of my ill father. He passed in July ***. I like to read, however don't do much of it. Although I do read a lot on current events, history, construction ect.Fav. movies: Color Purple, Latter Days, Mid-night in the Garden of Good and Evil (book is good also)many more... I've been single for awhile. I think it's time to start dating again to see what can happen. Everything will be on a friends first basis as we both decide if we are meant for each other.I'm generally a quiet person. Anything loud bothers me lol. Maybe I should buy a noise canceling headset lol. I do listen to music loud at times but for the most part I really do hate noise.I like camping, hiking, going for walks. I'm very versatile in what I like. I enjoy going out to eat but I also enjoy home cooked meals. I enjoy movies, plays and musicals, but I can have just as much fun staying home and watching TV. I guess I'm a homebody who likes going out on occasion. I don't dance so I hate going to clubs. I don't smoke but I do enjoy drinking socially. I enjoy pool even though I can't play, I like bowling even though I land in the gutter. I can use some gym time but I'm not overweight. I just need to get in shape! Maybe you can help motivate me.I served 10 years in the Army and i think that really formed who i am today. I dont mince words, I tell it like it is. I like honesty and being true to myself. I am a liberal democrat and I vote! I am very political and I have passion in my beliefs. Everyone has the right to their opinion, even if they are wrong hehe!I guess thats all for now. I'm sure I'll add to this but for now, ask. Something short. I need an escape plan in case it doesn't work out. Maybe drinks, go for a walk, hang out at the mall....Lets meet and take it from there!
