Pretty optimistic, happy go lucky guy . Of course, we all have some bad days , I'm a firm believer that your attitude and outlook makes all the difference. I think it's important to keep it light and have a sense of humor, but know when to be serious. Extremely old fashioned when it comes to love and relationships. Ideally looking for a LTR, but that takes time, and don't believe in rushing into it. Although, I love clothes, the gym and looking good, by far, the most imortant things , are values, morals and personality. The one thing I admire the most in a person, is when their biggest pride is the fact that they're a good person. Don't usually go to bars or clubs, but meeting somewhere quiet for a drink to relax and get to know each other would be an exception. If not, a comfortable cafe or coffee shop. After all , the first date is just a meeting, the second date is what counts.

I could tell you a lot more about me, or you could just ask. I am a very honest, likeable and nice person. I'm a retired Sailor and I have many interests, here are a few. Science Fiction, Movies, Walking, Camping, Skiing, Hiking, my house and most of all travel. I have traveled across the world and seen many things, some good and some bad, but I would not change a thing. I really enjoy stimulating conversation so if you can put a few words together that would be great. What am I looking for? Someone to share my life and love with, I can be very romantic and love affection cuddling kissing, etc.... I However, don't feel the same way about this in public don't know why, but I guess it comes from being in the military for so long, which forbids public displays of affection. I'm sort of the Renaissance type of man with interests ranging from music, the Symphony, theater, architecture and museums to camping, hiking and canoeing. I also have almost completely remodeled my home... new cabinets, put a new bathroom in, and laid wood flooring throughout, etc. So I guess it would be fair to say I can dress up in a tux or dress down into jeans and a t-shirt. I am a trained musician; however, I work in the software field. I am a faithful friend who will give it to you straight. I have a good career, own my own home, am emotionally stable and mature and even have three wonderful dogs. Love going to sporting events and ESP hockey games Warning...if you ask my opinion you WILL get it. Also, communication and honesty are huge to me. I'm a man... I can handle anything you tell me... just don't lie about it even if you think you will hurt me by telling me. One of the things I learned from my last relationship is it's better to know up front than to find out years after the fact.So, other than that stuff... I love spending time with friends, family and my dogs. I'm not "into" the bar scene; although, I would also say I have nothing against it. A good first date to me usually starts at a coffee/tea bistro type of place to see if there is chemistry. After that, anything from watching an episode of Downton Abbey to an amusement park, to dinner, to a movie, to a night at the symphony or opera, to just sitting and talking to going out for a beer or scotch, sitting in the pool or hot tub.
