I'm an artist (a surrealist painter) and I don't see the world the way most people do. I practice Zen. Zen is not really a religion, it's more a way to approach daily living. If you're not open-minded, we probably won't get along. I tend to get along better with younger guys. I enrolled in an extension course at OSU in weight lifting and became a trainer so I could train myself. I bought a Trek fitness bike and I love it! I'm definitely not a typical gay man. I know more about automotive engineering than I do about designer clothes and have no problem with crawling under my truck and getting grease on my hands. However, I'm no cultural slouch either. I have a decent working knowledge of modern literature and art history, particularly 20th century painting.I'm not really into the "gay" scene or too much of a bar person but I really enjoy going to dance clubs and dancing my ass off if the DJ is good. I love music and enjoy a broad range of musical genres but mostly listen to techno (I love BT) trance and 80's industrial rock like Front 242.I'm a very busy guy. My job (self-employed construction worker), tryin to stay fit and working on my paintings doesn't leave me a lot of spare time but I am more than willing to make time for someone if we hit it off. Oh, if you're going to send me a message at least tell me a little about yourself. Messages that contain only one or two words like "Sup" or "You looking?" are lame and will probably be answered with an equal lack of effort. Intelligence is sexy!

I am new to the whole on line pursuit of meeting someone. I am way out of practice as far as the whole dating world. I was in a long relationship and when that ended, I just put that put myself on a shelf. Well, it's time to get back out there and take a chance again. My friends tell me there is great guy out there.I work with older adults with mental illnesses and that can be very challenging yet very rewarding at the same time. My grandmother was a big part of my upbringing and give her full credit as my biggest influence. As for my interests, I like to take in a new art exhibit. I have rediscovered this through friends. I like to play tennis and go to see a good movie. One of my favorite things to do is order out for pizza and cuddle while watching TV and talking. Walking alone has been good but walking with someone would be better:) As for first "date", it would most likely be meeting for coffee and see where things lead to from there. Between the two of us, we will figure something out.

I could tell you a lot more about me, or you could just ask. I am a very honest, likeable and nice person. I'm a retired Sailor and I have many interests, here are a few. Science Fiction, Movies, Walking, Camping, Skiing, Hiking, my house and most of all travel. I have traveled across the world and seen many things, some good and some bad, but I would not change a thing. I really enjoy stimulating conversation so if you can put a few words together that would be great. What am I looking for?
