Our experiences and the people we meet along the way teach us and help shape us. Along my journey I have experienced many things. From relationships that were healthy to ones that I could close my eyes and forget about. I use to be so into myself that the only people I would date had to look a certain way. Even if their personality sucked, as long as they had the look, I would be satisfied. That's fine in and of itself. It helps to develop self confidence and assuredness, but leaves ones heart empty. Since then I've dated many guys to find out that what's important to them is so different than what's important to me. Today, I find that what's important to me are my friends, my family, my job, my happiness, and all that is missing is my partner. This is the reason I'm putting myself on here. I'm not looking for that person that fits a mold, a person that has a click of friends that dictate what gay life should be. I'm definitely not looking for the person that wants a relationship, but wants to play on the side. I don't want a person that is with someone else. What I'm looking for is that person that wants to build a relationship based on communication and trust. A person who enjoys quiet nights at home, not one that is defined by the bar they attend or the club they venture to on the weekends. I'm looking for the person who is defined by himself. One that is serious about life, his job, his family, his friends, how he carries himself. One that looks into my eyes when he talks with me. One that likes to have a few drinks now and then ( a good Malbec is always a plus). Someone that enjoys going on a date. Someone that has principles and stands by them.I'm a person of character. A person who is defined not by the latest trend. I don't care what people think and I don't live my life to fit into a particular "scene". I'm a good person, a great listener, and a great brother. I'm a dog lover with two greyhounds and a cat lover. I live in a small town, but venture to the city when I have an itch. I enjoy movies, the beach and the mountains. I enjoy a sunday drive in the car, a dinner out, a weekend getaway, a ride on my motorcycle. Camping is fun, football games are great, hockey is good. I don't expect perfection is others, because lord knows I'm far from perfect. I do smoke. I'm trying to quit, but it's tough, I'll admit that. But hey, I drive a Prius...so it balances out! LOL Look, i'm not the guy that is perfectly fit. I don't live in the gym and frankly I don't want to be that guy. However i do eat well and I do workout a couple of days a week. But that's it. Nothing more. I do tend to have a sarcastic sense of humor, I love to laugh and i have no problem crying either. On the boyfriend front, i find myself to be a bit old fashion. I like going on dates. I like getting to know someone and not rushing into bed. Don't get me wrong...I love sex and find it important, but lord you can only drop them and leave them so much in life. In the end, I know my body better than the one night stand.You should reply if any of this rambling makes sense to you.
