Probably the best thing I can say about myself is that I'm open to just about everything. To say I'm young at heart may sound cliche, but its true. I didn't realize how as you get older you get wiser and as you get wiser you age less...kind of a Catch 22...and let's get a few things straight right off the bat...been POZ for 14 years and couldn't be healthier and if it matters, I prefer to catch rather than pitch, not opposed to pitching, just sayin'...now then.....help me!) and working on the last third of my first novel. I have diverse interests in music, food, wine, film, television and literature, basically anything goes, except sexism, bigotry, homophobia and small-mindedness. I love to laugh, cook, cycle, swim, vacation, hike, take long walks, camp, fish, go to the theater and quite a bit more. I have been fortunate throughout my life to do many of these things more than once. My friends are my support and my adopted family. Without them, I would be nothing. My son (not biological...helped my best friend raise him from infancy)...will be twelve this year...there's a sentence I never thought I'd say!I am looking for a partner (eventually) but am not looking to make that happen overnight. Ideally dinner or lunch, someplace where we can talk. It doesn't have to be complex, just two guys hanging out...then...well, we'll see.

I am outgoing, attractive with an awesome sense of humor. I have been hurt immensely in prior relationships. I don't care to be with an individual who has a hidden agenda or who is looking for someone to take care of them. I don’t have any room in my life for phony, pretentious, dishonest, self-absorbed people who are only interested in what will serve their own needs. I'm more interested in meeting a non-smoker pref. ***that I can share my life with as well as one who is willing to share theirs. One who will care about my feelings, give me love and affection and will receive twice back. I would like a balanced relationship with a guy who is willing to give 50% and is willing to take the time to get to know me, and I him, before committing to a relationship; Along with one who would eventually use "we" *** "me" in their vocabulary. I prefer to be with somebody I can respect and trust; Monogamy is a must! I'm not perfect, and I'm not looking for perfection. Life is short, and I would like to spend my time with a non-smoker who's honest, open-minded, outspoken, neat, romantic, energetic, and communicative with a sense of humor. What I really enjoy, is being able to talk with someone without effort or having my words twisted or misunderstood, or having to worry about hurting their feelings. Being able to make that connection with someone is a wonderful thing, and being able to have a romantic interest in such a person would even be more wonderful. Not to sound trite, but a perfect relationship has these qualities and striving for these from both individuals may just end up with a near perfect relationship all by itself! I have one dog and a cat. Being pet friendly is a must. I would love to meet someone who wants to date casually and hopefully into a relationship if the chemistry is there. I'm always up to go out and have a good night on the town or socializing with friends. Going out and talking over a few drinks. Nothing too fancy is fine with me. I'm up for whatever can bring smiles and fun and hopefully bring out the sparks of interest.
