I am a 50 year old father to two beautiful 16 year old daughters. Although they don't define who I am, they are still a big part of my life for now. My ideal match would be a woman who can appreciate the challenges of raising teenagers. They are quickly becoming more independent as they grow into confident young women. Each day I wake and give thanks for another day. I enjoy what I do and look forward to going to work. But my type-A workaholic days are long behind me, freeing up time for a relationship. If you enjoy traveling as much as I do, you realize that is an admirable quality. I smile and laugh a lot and enjoy bringing smiles to those around me. Long ago I learned to laugh at myself and have found that people who can laugh at themselves tend to be more fun to be around. Silliness and goofiness on your part are not only welcome, they're expected. I'm fully capable of being the grown-up when appropriate, but I refuse to be stuffy old man when it's ok to let that inner child out for a while. My musical tastes range from Al Green to Yes, from the Beatles to Wayman Tisdale. I like rock, pop, jazz, blues and classical. My iPod contains over ***artists and thousands of songs, mostly from the '60s to the '90s. I like new movies and I like TCM. Concerts are fun. And I have a car. An ideal first date would be drinks/appetizers/meal in a quiet spot where we could actually hear and talk and learn more about each other. I love movies, plays, concerts and the like but the requirement to generally sit in silence for much of the performance makes communication difficult. Save those for subsequent dates. I enjoy holding hands and taking long walks or hikes.

I have 2 amazing children, 22 & 23, who I love more than my next breath. I have the best job in the world ***being their father.I was married for 12 years and I've been in three, 4 year realtionships ***I've received extensive on-the-job relationship training, including: keeping the toilet seat down, knowing when to listen & not talk (approximately 95% of the time), knowing when someone needs to be held, say "pee", not "piss" (this is critical ***this might be the most important lesson to learn), etc. I enjoy "soft, wet kisses that last for days"-I enjoy pilates, bike riding on the Strand, art galleries, wine tastings, live music, spontaneous excursions, lying in the sun, watching movies that make me laugh & just hanging out. A sense of humor is important - I try to hold up my end, although you wouldn't know it reading this profile.; at least 6 countries in Europe. I might have been to more countries in Europe, but I would need a map of Europe to check.As a side note, people are concerned about smokers ***I'm happy to say, I only smoke ***when I'm on fire. So, I've got that going for me. I'm open to anything you feel comfortable with. Lunch, dinner, get-to-know-you glass of wine/your beverage of choice, quick cup of coffee ***somewhere we can talk and get to know each other, without straining to be heard, or, if you are shy ***we can simply drive past each other and wave.The place doesn't matter ***the people do. Pretty much open to anything you would like to do, and anywhere you'd like to go ***wherever you feel comfortable.
