    Retired very young ***and I guess I have too much idle time. Not exactly sure what I'm looking for, but I'll know what's right when it comes my way. Relationships are something that happen when you find the right person. I think that searching for one isn't the best approach. These things just happen. I have strong faith and don't believe in coincidence - things happen for a reason.About me... I was in the Marine Corps, and Reserves for 12 years. I'm very active with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and feel strongly about all vets and current service men and women. I retired from the police department, in NY, after blowing out both knees catching bad guys, but I'm far from what one would think of a typical cop. There's a big difference, for the most part, between cops in NY and what I've seen in my 5+ years in FL. I have a bunch of tattoos and a few piercings. I like to take rides on my Harley to clear my mind. I'm not a sports nut, but love mixed martial arts (UFC), and used to train in jiu-jitsu. Also love NASCAR and baseball. Perhaps I'll add more when things come to mind. Or just ask! That really depends on who the first date is with. I'd defer my ideal first date to the wishes of the woman I'm taking out.

    Outdoors is where I prefer to be, winter or summer, though I'm not a fanatic about it. I love to cook, whether it's for someone special or a guormet feast for 50 people at a Steeler tailgate, and pairing wine is just as much of a passion. A little live music can accompany or be the focus of any of the above, with classic rock/country being my favorites, but really like anything but Rap. You'll find that I am a polite person, and that I'm in a good mood pretty much all of the time. I would like to be in a relationship where I can share all the fun that I have and so much more. If you're active, and like to be out and about, having a good time and making new friends, we'll get along great I'm sure. My ideal first date would differ depending on the seasons, but the components would all be similar. Someplace quiet enough to allow for conversation, so we can get to know each other better. Someplace with a great view or a creative meal to give us something to fill the gaps in a thoughtful conversation. And best of all a goodnight kiss that promises more to come.
