She should be able to pick up and go away for the weekend at the drop of a hat if the opportunity presents itself. She must like attention and be able to communicate with me. I am a good listener so she would need to be able to express her feelings and tell me about her day. It is ok if the person in my life has hobbies and friends of their own I think that is important to have individuality. I truly believe there's either a connection or not it's hard to describe but you will just know. I am not saying that there is that perfect relationship but there has to be something pretty close. As I've entered my 40's, I realize the importance of not sweating the small stuff. I am trying to enjoy life as it happens. Striving to be mellow and stress-free. Wending my way through life, so to speak.I've done a lot of traveling, including around the United States, Europe, Africa and the Caribbean. At home, I own a couple of businesses and am pretty busy. Being self-employed, I can take time when I need it. The flip side is that I am often busy at times when others have off. Some people may not like that, but I like being my own boss.I like most music as long as it's not physically jarring to my ears, but prefer folk, alt/indie rock, classic rock, bluegrass, etc. I also like R&B, classical and some country, although the commercial stuff is too much. And, of course, the Beatles.I started going grey a while ago, and then my hair started receding. That would have really bothered me twenty years ago, but the funny thing is in my 40's, it really doesn't matter too much! I like getting older. Something low key that would allow for some good conversation. Probably a drink or coffee at a nice place that is not so loud that we can't hear each other.
