; yard on nights and weekends. I don't sit still very well so I get immersed in my interests and projects. Sometimes, before I know it, I find myself a homebody for stretches of time. Looking for someone fun to help me 'stop & smell the roses' and break away from some of my routines.- think 'the guy next door'. I'm not normally a fan of anything yuppies are chasing. I've had a few adventures including backpacking western Europe, Australia & New Zealand; and pedaling a bicycle across the USA. I haven't biked or rollerbladed in a few years so it would be nice to find someone to do either with. While I have played sports in the past, I'm mostly useless for sitting and watching a game on TV (although, I have been watching a quarter or two of the Seahawks). I'm happy to spend some time on the couch with you on movie night or to work a crossword together.My sense of humor ranges from silly to sarcastic, witty to improvisational. I do best with people with a playful attitude, or, who enjoy and welcome my occasional zany side. I usually try to find/make the fun even in the most mundane situations, when I'm with someone I enjoy.Random factoids: My appendectomy scar looks like I was on the losing end of a knife fight. I enjoy mowing my lawn.+ years. Last book read: The Summons by John Grisham. She has her own interests, hobbies, pursuits. A ready laugh? Great! Longer hair that sometimes finds it's way to being a pony tail? Excellent! Visible tattoos? Not my cup o' tea (I'm tattoo free). If you've been described as 'the girl next door'... Step right up. If you are an attenton seeker, or have been described as the 'life of the party'... sorry, I'm not your guy. I am a decent to good cook, and it would be great if you are, too. Lately, occasional smokers have been popping up in my search/match results even though I specified only non-smokers. So there is no confusion - I'm not flexible regarding it. (You non-smokers know what I'm talking about...)Irony Alert! I've been surprised to read in a few profiles that some of you ladies find a photo of a guy posing with one or more fish to be unappealing. Besides having one of those photos myself (I think it's a great photo of my dad, dog and me)... have you noticed the pervasive fish theme in the makeup of this website?Never sure what is good to write in these things, so I'll stop here. I consider myself pretty much an open book, so... I prefer and do better with direct questions. How's the fishing? I am a fan of simple for a first date, like a relaxing place for some conversation perhaps with a beverage or a view. Seems good dates just sort of snowball from there...
