About Me

I'm a well rounded individual that likes a lot of variety in life. I like refined(fine dining) and rough cut(eating off the fire, camping), just the same. I am a middle class working guy with a job as a programmer, that lives on his own, in his own place, has more than one car, and a life in the real world.; Rescue. I like to sing, play guitar, go hiking and 4- I've been divorced since ***, for those it concerns.I'm pretty much a one person at a time kind of guy in that I prefer quality time with one or few friends, over trying to have everyone around and no quality time with anyone. Ideally I would have a relationship were we become best friends and love doing almost everything together. So if you like a lot of alone time or time with other people a lot, that wouldn't be good.>>>>>Ideally, I'm looking for someone that is still young enough to have children at some point not too long from now, and yet is old enough to have their act together and be self sufficient. If it's a one way street like that, the guy will get bored of you and find someone he can laugh with, not someone he has to entertain. :) Having things in common or at least common interests is important. I don't believe being totally different works or the "opposites" thing. Being different in complimentary ways though can be good. Such as one person prefers to do the laundry while the other prefers to keep the kitchen clean. I am generally very affectionate and attentive and like the same in return too, but adjust affection to the situation, company and setting. If you like to sing that's a bonus. I also would like to be with someone that sees sex and love making as a fun or romantic way to be together, not as a manipulation tool, something that needs to be rationed or any kind of issue. Visually, I don't find out of proportion bodies attractive (not into big buts, big boobs, big legs, big stomachs... sorry, not that you can't be a nice person, just not attractive for me).Did I mention I'm Dutch and American? I have dual citizenship and can live both in Europe and the US. How many people do you know that can pull that trick ;) Depends on the season around here, but I like to do something where we can talk at the same time. Miniature golf, a hike, cooking class?

    Hey. How's it going?I hope these things I am about to say about me are true. I think they are.I'm funny and goofy in a juvenile kind of way. I like movies and books and any story that moves me. I write a little and have kept a journal since I was about 16. I'm an introvert, which means I think before I speak. Which also means I think of the perfect comeback about an hour after the conversation has ended. I say dumb things when I do speak without thinking. Sometimes, at least. I try to laugh at those things later. I like to hike, although I'm not a pro or anything. A walk is almost as nice. I like quiet times balanced with fun "out" times; adventures, even. I like to go see live bands and try to see 80's bands when they come around, although I could probably be doing a better job of that. I have 2 kids and a good job. I grew up catholic and the closest things I associate myself with these days is Unitarianism or Buddhism, although I practice neither. I'm a romantic at heart. I like heroes and earnestness and people who try to be good and decent even when the world is making it so easy to be a jerk. And I like candy. A coffee or beer as an ice-breaking first meet is ideal, I think. I love dinner and a movie as a first "real" date, even if it is a cliche.
