Living and learning how to live in a turbulent world is the ultimate goal. After 20 years in my field and now transition to a new career path this is how it's supposed to be. My music is hard and fast one second then all slow and gooey the next Tower of Power to Slipknot to Smooth Jazz. It's not all about the music though. I have been working towards a goal that ends up me living in the country with my dog, sharing time and space with a super wonderful counterpart that is a force unto herself. There is a lot out the to see and having a partner to share it with us is where it's at. I've always been opposed to the concept of "dating". I would feel more comfortable calling them something like gettogether, hangoutandchat, walkinthedog and then when it's something that resembles dating, then call it a meeting of the minds.

Gosh, I hate talking about myself. I really enjoy the outdoors. I love to fish and like teaching someone who does'nt know how to. I get a real joy when I see that my methods work. I am a snow skier,I love being a dad. I have 2 great kids, a son 18 and a daughter 11. I love music. I like to play my guitar, I like the chic flics, just about all the romantic movies are good for me. Country dancing is fun for me. I consider myself to be pretty good. I am VERY tired of the bar scene. I LOVE to laugh and yo make others laugh as well. I heard once that laughter is the best medicine and love cures all. Well I have the laughter part....... please help! I am a caring person and love life. I enjoy camp fires, hangin with freinds,cooking out ect.... k I'm tired of talking about me now. Then if there is a second date maybe a dinner or a nice picnic on a great sunny day.

Movies, boats, food, and great conversations are a few of my favorite things. I also enjoy any kind of science and sometimes politics, although in this town that can be a very contentious topic so I try to be diplomatic and respect others opinions even when I vehemently disagree. I can be a big nerd or a dork, love gadgets, always with a smile and a laugh. I have been described as more wise than smart (I'm not exactly sure what that means but it feels right). I clean up okay and have good manners however I am not a metro-sexual by any stretch. I appreciate aesthetics and have an eye for quality in art, music, and people. I take pleasure in things that are some way social. My favorite thing is my boat, my floating home, its a special way of life. As I transition from the life of a pirate on the water, I am struggling to get used to the ND winters again and it makes one much more appreciative of summertime activities. Imperfect as it may be my life is getting better and steady on a path that is strange and different. At the end of the day I am hoping to find someone who wants to take the path less traveled. Someone as passionate, affectionate, loyal and open to life as I am. Someone who loves to laugh, has some secret reservoir of passion dying to get out, is playful and can find the greatest pleasure in falling asleep to a lullaby of lapping waves and share my wonder of all the land and sea. I think classic dinner and conversation is the best way to get to know a person and see if there is real compatibility and attraction, and it has to be long enough to get past "interview facade" if dinner turns into an all night conversation that's a good sign.
