I have a good idea of what I am not looking for in a significant other but no idea of exactly what I am looking for (that makes sense in my mind...lol).Fit / Healthy: Its hard to be fit at 40+, I live it and respect in others. I understand 40 years old isn't 20 and don't expect you to be. I am ok with a little extra but if your ***lbs. over weight I am not ok with that. Medically stable: If your drink heavily are popping pills just to make it through the day or psychologically unstable, forget it, not happening, been there done it twice, got the t shirt, divorce papers and scars. Smoking: I quit 12 years ago, can not and will not deal with being around it. About me: 5' 10", ***lbs., have my own house, truck, motorcycle and job, I work to live and not live to work, I will do anything for people I love, I keep my word if humanly possible, I have NEVER cheated on anyone, I'd really like to find someone who compliments my life style and I theirs. I have done 11 sprint distance triathlons but missed the last 2 years due to shoulder issues. I still try and work out regularly and would love someone who can keep up or even challenge me to keep up with them.I am happy with who and what I am, worked hard to get where I am physically and financially. (not rich or ripped)I have 4 children who are the most important people in my life, 25, 22, 10yr old daughters and 17yr old boy, joint custody of 10yr old, other 3 are on their own.I have time to date and will make time for someone I am serious about if you can't or won't I am not your man.This is dating and supposed to be fun. Wow, this looks easy, until you stare at a blank page for an hour! How do I do this without seeming****, arrogant and full of myself? I mean, I know I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it usually takes my date about 10 minutes of personal interaction to figure it out. I guess the purpose here is to get noticed, while maintaining honesty and integrity, or is the purpose simply to get noticed???Everybody writes the same crap! They are all funny, caring, optimistic, generous, a gentleman, blah blah blah!!! So I won't bore you with the same old. The fact is that all men are here to meet women and all women are here to meet men. You get to a certain age and the club scene starts to get old, especially here in Vegas, so you're sitting around the house watching TV, and a commercial for an online dating site with attractive couples holding hands comes on, and here we are:I won't give you a grocery list of character descriptions, like loyal, honest, caring, loving, blah blah... if I had to describe myself, which I seem to have to, maybe I'm the opposite? I'm sarcastic, opinionated, selfish, and not politically correct! I speak my mind, in an effort to keep all in earshot entertained. I don't sugarcoat, because really, "it is what it is". Most people try to make a good first impression, but they come off as being fake and conformist. You don't get to know the real person for a long time, the "real you" starts to shine through around the third date or later, if you ever get that far? I don't believe in wasting all that time, so what you see is what you get!!!!The first thing we look at is the pics, and we wonder, am I attracted to this person? Could I be seen out with them? Would I have sex with them? If any of the above are a maybe, you might read their bio. Well I'm no different, if I'm not attracted to you, I won't be reaching out. It's shallow, but it's honest! Having said that, if your bio puts me to sleep, or if it sounds like the same old BS, I won't be messaging you either, (unless you're incredibly HOT!!!) lolLets face it, none of us are here for one night stands???..... guys don't stick around for a third date if they think they are going to be "just friends". We are all here to meet new people, and try them out to see if we click with them. We really can't tell all that much from words jotted down on a page, but I guess the upside here is we do get a bit of information allowing us to spot the definite NO's. What else can I say about myself???I have to be experienced to be appreciated, and it's likely to be a memorable experience, no matter what!Once I get to know someone, and I open up, (it may take a while) I can be a very good and loyal friend. If I can find someone that I believe is my soulmate, which is my ultimate goal, (and I do believe she is out there) I will never let her go! Dinner, movie, drinks. Good conversation, get to know each other and see where it can lead?
