About Me

I'm looking for someone to share some good times with, whether it's biking, skating, hiking, checking out the latest exhibit at the art or natural history museums, a nice dinner and a show at the comedy club, or just seeing a movie and watching a game at the bar. I spend much of my time on refurb projects on my old house, inline skating, mountain climbing, or working my way through a giant Netflix queue that will probably never bottom out.I enjoy discussing current events and history, politics and religion, culture and anything else that helps to put the pieces together and to figure out how the world works. I don't really see any subjects as off limits but I can respect the boundaries of others. I'm generally clueless about fashion, celebrity gossip, or home decor but I keep an open mind and would love to have someone explain that dumb stuff.Music: I like just about anything except most Country and Hip Hop, but there are exceptions even there. I'll tune into the pop stations to see what's fresh, and others times explore old songs that make me nostalgic for a time before I existed. I often fixate on a few albums and play them scores of times until I hear the music in my dreams.Food: Anything good! Sushi is usually my first choice but I'm up for Mexican, Ethiopian, Chinese, Indian, and lots of other stuff if it's well done. Exploring new spots is always exciting. Sometimes "food" winds up just being a bunch of beer and pub grub, or lots of tequila and lime wedges.I can be a bit of a brat (life is short and it's important to have fun) but am also comfortable being serious about things when the situation calls for it. I like finding out what makes people click and seeing what I can bring to a friendship or relationship that has some value to the other person. My goals in life are educating myself, seeking professional achievements, traveling to exotic places, meeting new people, but mostly I just want to figure out what I'm going to be when I grow up.I put one lie in my profile. How many in yours? I like to meet somewhere casual for drinks and just see how things go.

    I'm really having a great time! Have a great job, a great house, great friends, but one thing is missing...someone great to enjoy it with.I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to dating.     I am a single father of a 16 year old son that has been my life and my happiness! I have joint custody of him every other week. I work full time as a mailman and have a second job as a radio dj or on air personality and I also own a DJ business doing weddings and birthday parties etc. I am very friendly, nice, and laugh a lot.. always looking for the joke in things..lol! Raising my son has been my primary concern but now that he is getting older and doing things with his friends a lot I have more time to begin dating again. I love kids. I like all kinds of music.. top 40, pop, R&B, Blues, some rock.. and some country... but not much on country music. I am also a huge Elvis fan..lol! I like to dress up and have been considered stylish. I enjoy cooking(using a recipe). I recently started playing golf with my son and love it! I drive a truck and have a motorcycle. I own my own home. I don't have much family although I always dreamed of having a big family. My Mom and my son have been the closest things in life to me. I lost my Mom two years ago so now my son is really all I have. I have a Dad that lives a couple of hours away but has not taken much part in my life unfortunately. I am a very happy person and would love to find someone to smile and laugh with and enjoy life with. First dates are usually better if you can do things that will make you smile or laugh a lot. Dinner first though... Bowling.. skating.. and other active dates are fun too and for me allows me to see if my date has a fun side to her and can enjoy having fun with me. The first date would depend on the person I am seeing though. I would want to know her interest and likes and would cater the date around the things she enjoyed. I am a pleaser.. I like making my date happy and try meeting her needs before my own. If she is happy I am usually happy. Movies are fun too and although they allow you to hold hands may not give you the chance for much conversation.
