About Me

If you made it past this first sentence and are still reading...welcome.A little about me...I am a single father and have 2 daughters, so you need to understand that family is very important to me. I recently went back to school to pursue a degree in nursing and I find that I do not have as much free time to get out there and search (hence - my posting here online). I strongly believe in working hard at your responsibilities in life and enjoy your free time as much as possible. Although my life can be hectic at times, I am pretty laid back and easy going. I am infamous for getting along with anyone and enjoy making others laugh - sometimes at my own expense. Nothing is more satisfying than making someone comfortable and happy. I am the type of person that will find the best in any situation. Life is hard and too short, so we need to make the most of it - so enjoy everything you do and laugh as much as possible. I do have to warn you, I have a bit of a light-hearted sarcastic wit that might catch you when you least expect it.I am not outwardly religious, but I do believe in doing the right thing and treating people the same as I would want from them. My friends are important to me and I see them as an extension of my family. Most would agree that I am the type to offer you the shirt off my back in the freezing cold. I just ask that you slam the door and lock me outside. I am definitely not into the club scene anymore. I outgrew that a while back. Besides, I am humbled enough to know that I can't compete on those grounds with men half my age. I am more the excursion type - let's get outside and do something besides ruin your hearing and getting a contact high.I enjoy cooking and experiencing others enjoy my creations. I also like to eat out (gives me inspiration to create), I am a huge movie fanatic and enjoy all types - especially the cheesy cult classics. However - these need to be watched at home because I can come up with some pretty witty heckles (much like Science Theater ***. I enjoy movies so much, I took on a part time job writing movie reviews online which affords me the privilege of seeing movies before they open to the public, which has been my recreational escape from reality of late.My interest in music is vast - I have come to enjoy any type of genre. I just never understood some of the graphic lyrics in rap - but I do enjoy the beat. I like to anything outdoors or cultural (museums, art fairs, renaissance festivals, comedy clubs, sporting events, air shows, etc). I also enjoy going to the gun range every now and again to hone my pistol skills and relieve some stress. When it comes down to it - it really doesn't matter where or what we do, being with good company is all that matters. Ideally, we have no concept of time and find ourselves getting asked to leave so they can close up for the night.
