I am an east bay native, grew up in Rockridge and have lived in the area my whole life. I did "Mr. Mom" for a number of years when my girls were young and I had my own consulting business during that time. However today I have a great job with a local firm here in the east bay. On several occasions, I've visited my girls' school to teach at their classes about science and solar energy. This is one of the most rewarding things I've gotten to do; seeing the young students engaged is awesome. I volunteer a lot with my engineering society; I was formerly the president of our local chapter. My philanthropy with this group includes both leadership and advocacy roles. I am driven to make a difference.I am very passionate about these aspects of my life, but I do play hard too :-) When I am not doing the engineering thing, I enjoy indy/garage rock music, craft beer, traveling, and most importantly, parenting and being with my two girls. I love R.E.M.;little broken hearts". I've been fortunate to have met several musicians from some of these bands, they are so cool.
