I am curious, intellectual verging on nerdy, active, and passionate about life, and I love good friends, food, and conversation over drinks. I love various outdoor pursuits including hiking, biking (road and mountain), snowboarding (since before it was invented), Xcountry skiing and snowshoeing, and paddling, and exploring from the shore to the mountains in any season, and with my camera. I train and *** arts when I can-- But I also like a good book, movie, or TV show, and I adore history. As a new dog owner, I like running, walking, and playing with my dog. Politics is my main spectator sport. I have a strong spiritual side and a keen sense of justice for all people and the environment. I travel frequently and I have friends across the country. I lived in India for 6 months. Deep down I am romantic who wears my heart on my sleeve, I am a kid at heart, and I love to give and receive affection. I can be shy, but also I like to flirt, with a good enough sense of humor to laugh at myself. My grandmother said I have the 'gift of gab' and my friends tell me I can pry conversation from a brick wall. The one thing I am most passionate about is connecting people with each other and information.I believe that compatible personalities are a key to a successful relationship where both partners thoroughly can be themselves, as well as trust, accept, and appreciate each other. Ideal date: Active-outdoorsy--A hike is a good start, perfect if a swim and sunbathing can be fit in too. Later, dressing for dinner and quiet conversation over food and drinks, and a movie with dessert afterwards. But realistically, a first date could be talking and walking with my dog, coffee, or dinner.
