I am looking to live and enjoy life. I don't just rush into relationships, I build a friendship first.I hike very regularly and would love to share that with you. I am a foodie and enjoy meals best when paired with the right wine. I love to travel and plan to continue to see the world. I like rock and country music. I am secure in who I am and in my work. I grew up a Christian and now I am spiritual more than religious. I believe that I am responsible for the energy I bring to any situation. My goals and aspirations are to enjoy life no matter what comes my way. For the first date, I would like to do something like a wine tasting or happy hour. This would give us a chance to find out if there is chemistry. If we feel comfortable being ourselves, this opens the door for a longer second date. How about a hike with a picnic lunch where we can start getting to really know each other?

), and I love it here! I work as a software development engineer out here in the 'burbs, and very much enjoy it, but have a lot of other interests, including biking, hiking, volleyball, pool, yoga, and lots of other stuff that may seem interesting at the time. Music is very important to me, both as a spectator and a participant.I'm a pretty basic kinda guy; I'm not shy, but I'm not very flamboyant either. I like to keep busy, but don't mind winding down to watch a movie or something equally sedentary. I generally approach everything with a positive attitude, and don't particularly like to complain (except to yell at other drivers, which I find therapeutic!). I'm content with simple things, but am starting to appreciate finer things on occasion (good wines, scotch, the occasional cigar, nice hotels). I tend toward self-deprecating humor, but find that some don't really appreciate/understand it. I'm never bored, but *** don't have enough time for all that I like to do. I'd love to find someone who is equally adventurous, but who doesn't mind just "hanging out" sometimes. A *very* first date would best be something easy, meeting for a drink or dinner at the most. If that goes well, then something active would be nice. Movies and such actually make terrible dates, as you just sit next to each other in silence. Hiking or playing pool or such would be great!
