Let's face it, I don't live the life of a rock-star or famous athlete ... but those guys are always getting caught cheating on their wives, so why would I want to live that life?It sure would make writing this more entertaining, and reading it would be much more fun too. I could tell you about all the exotic cities and expensive hotels I've stayed at while being on tour. All the parties, clubs, alcohol and drugs ... it would make for a much more interesting read.-star lifestyle would be fun, but I don't want to live that life and a girl that's looking for that is not for me. While my story might be Rolling Stone worthy, I do work hard, pay my bills, enjoy the company of my friends & family ... while enjoying myself like I was a rock-star on tour.Family and friends are most important to me in life. I've learned that money and opportunities come and go, but your friends and family are always there to help you when you need it. I hope one day I can pass down those qualities to a family of my own, and it's why I work so hard today.I fully don't expect you to message me, I guess if I was getting 20 or 30 messages a day from people I wouldn't have to. Unfortunately real, honest guys like me often get passed over because we don't stand out among the hundreds on here trying to find a date by auto-blasting e-mails they have stored up on a hard drive. OK...-jah, ya'll) transplanted to SoCal for my job, but I'm no "country bumpkin".I think that I have a unique, and perhaps "warped" perspective on things, but in a good way... I will admit that I am a bit shy about making first contact with anyone here... I don't know why, as I am pretty outgoing and friendly in person... perhaps a slight fear of the unknown.Oh, ummm... I accidently selected ***as my birthday year... it is actually ***, but I cannot find where to change it... I am 52, but look and feel more like 30... All of my photos are fairly current; within the last 12 months...I keep myself clean, drug & disease-free, and in really good shape...I eat pretty healthy and try to keep myself in better shape because I have my five-year-old son, who lives with me, and he depends on me to stay healthy for him... It's just the two of us and he is my "mini-me"... We have a whole lot of fun together...I have a fairly high IQ, but more than that, I have good common sense and skills that help me in everyday life and at my job...As a union worker I can, and do go anywhere in the country to work, if there is a job in progress where I want to go...I am as equally comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, as I am in a suit or tux... I do prefer boots to shoes, and my cowboy boots are my favorites... Some of my biggest passions are music, hanging out at the beach or by a pool, amusement parks, camping, mountain-climbing, shooting, hiking and fishing... I also like to go to concerts, museums, zoos and aquariums, but my favorite thing of all, is a good planetarium... I do love anything to do with history, as well.I love to go camping in the mountains anywhere, and I like higher elevations because it is cooler up there and the views are usually spectacular... Especially the night sky.- I also listen to some classical music and I can dance to country, but i'm not one to listen to it...I have had a Southern gentleman's upbringing, and am considered by many to be chivalrous (Yes, it still survives)... I like to meet people, so if you should happen to recognize me out somewhere, come up and say "hello"... I pretty much speak the way I write, but with a slight southern accent...I enjoy an occasional trip to Vegas, just to get away, so you might see me there with my son on the strip... We're in Vegas right now, but soon to be moving..... I enjoy a variety of entertainment, and I like to do most anything...I don't usually plan very far in advance, as plans usually fall apart pretty quickly, so I prefer to go with my *** such matters...If we meet in the evening, it would probably be someplace public, off the beaten path and preferrably dark and quiet with few distractions so we might get to know one another... I like a variety of foods but haven't found sushi to my liking... perhaps I haven't tried the right ones or I went to the wrong places...And if we meet in the daytime, a day of shopping at a local mall or outlet center could also be fun...Actually, a great place to get to know each other would be at a nail place, getting pedicures... plenty of time to talk in a relaxing environment...I would rather be alone for the right reasons, than to be with someone for the wrong reasons... I am alone now, but never lonely...
