About Me

I won't go into a whole "I like puppies and walking in the rain" synopsis here. There are plenty of sappy romance books in the library for that. What I will say is that I am a kid at heart and honest to a fault. I like the simple things in life and find that just hanging out with my friends is one of the best times to be had. But going out someplace is always an option. I would rather be casual but neat, but I can get dressed up if need be. I guess I'll say I'm flexible in that respect.I can't guarantee that you will laugh at all of my jokes, but that won't stop me from trying. Sarcasm, as long as it is not mean, is an art form.I'm not a health fanatic, and I cannot spend hours in a gym as I get bored easily with that, but do work out at home to keep in shape. I like to be active and stay in shape by either playing some sort of sport, hiking or doing different activities. If I can work up a sweat playing volleyball, tennis or racquetball and then do some weights at home the day is complete.I would rather play a sport than watch. I enjoy sitting down and watching a football game, but I am not tied to the tv. I think recording the game, going out and doing something interesting, and then coming back to watch it in an hours time as opposed to three hours is a better option.I want someone who wants to be a part of my life but also has one of her own. There is nothing wrong with having your own interests. You can share them with the other person, and learn from them, but it also allows you to have that all important alone time.I long for someone who can show affection and does not mind holding hands or a kiss in public. I am a passionate person in everything I do, whether it be a sport, a hobby or a relationship. I feel that there is no reason to do things halfway.I am interested in someone who is honest, fun and down to Earth. And please don't be so attached to your cell phone that it can't be put away for the night or a day out. Being in contact is one thing, but being out of touch is another.I like a woman who is confident, knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go for it, so I definitely don't mind someone who makes the first move.While my profile says that I don't drink, understand that I have nothing against it. I just never got a taste for it. I go out with friends who drink all the time. I have a good time, remember it the next day and don't have a headache.     Hi well I'm from the prairies and have lived all across north america from coast to coast... to coast(the warmer southern one) but I keep getting drawn back to the east coast. Work keeps taking me back out there quite a lot lately and with some upcoming projects I am planning on buying a second house on the coast and then split my time between the prairies and the coast and maybe somewhere warm too.. I still haven't chosen the location yet but I have several areas I'm looking at. Any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated. I am highly creative and have a hand in lots of different things. I have worked as a internationally respected artist with pieces being sold around the globe. ironicly i have no art training and have a double major in bio and geography. I studied marine bio at Dal and have a deploma as a massage practitioner. I'm presently developing an epublishing company along with an internet based tv show/ develope a network( long term goal...lots of VERY long nights and hard work) I love to meet new people I can quiete easily make a lasting friendship with them by getting them to laugh. I put people at ease and I'm very likeable. (think its the curly hair that does it... ) I think the host of a tv morning show I did years ago summed it up perfectly... I'm oddly charming. I have found on these sites I've more likely made a connection with a really good friend, than a romantic one. But I have also found from personal experience and those of my friends that the best relationships have their roots in friendship and grown strong from there. I keep going on the same bad dates in manitoba, maybe my ship will come in on the coast... (ok that imagery was quite lame lol but I'll try and come up with something better later ;) I love to hike and bike and kayak but lately I have been hard pressed to find the time to do it. working from home again would allow me to have that freedom and can make my own schedule. This is also one of the reasons I'm moving out to the coast. running my business from home allows me to have a better quality of life.
