Hey, Thanx for checking me out. I'm really feeling ready for a serious, LTR and looking for someone who wants to love and be loved. I'm a Ph.D. student in Psychology only an internship away from graduation. It's very important to me to do work that I feel is helping other people, which is why I chose to become a psychotherapist. I'm an outdoors enthusiast, enjoy being physically active, and definitely NOT the homebody type. It also happens that I'm a Buddhist and put in alot of time on the meditation cushion and with my spiritual community. I have values, a life vision, and goals that I really aspire to in stewardship to others. But mostly I just want to be happy and make another special guy supremely happy. Maybe that guy is you. I love other playful, outdoorsy, feely-touchy guys like me. I'm open to pretty much any kind of adventure provided it's sane and doesn't kill too many people. I really take care of myself and into guys who do the same. If I'm not at the gym you may find me at a local theater, a hiking trail, a library or bookstore, a cultural event, dancing Tango, or cooking with a friend. I'm VERY LOW-DRAMA because I try to take responsibility for my life and emotions. So very laid back, flexible, and easy going here provided we agree on some basic things. I think I’m single because I’m actually a bit quirky. Shocking right? Yes, I stay in shape and have the gym-toned body. Yes, I’m well educated, bright, and intellectual. Yes, I have a great sense of humor, am playful, fun, and have a lot going for me. I’m also the type to go out of my way to make the man I’m with feel on top of the world. His happiness makes me happy. On the other hand, spirituality is very important to me. So are love, values, commitment, and the kind of respect and kindness that I don’t always meet with in guys. I’m probably a bit too nice, honestly, and that even seems to be a turn off to some guys. (Why do so many men want to be treated like whores and cum dumpsters?). I love sex and am not above having plenty of it in my relationships, but a LTR with commitment and tenderness is something I prize much more. Open to trying just about anything provided no one gets maimed. I would like to travel more in the future, but want a good companion to do my traveling with. Q: OK, so we know what you enjoy, but what do you HATE?A: Hmmm. That’s a delicate question but there are some things I’m afraid I do hate. I hate cigarette smoke, abusive guys, alcoholic / drug addicted men (well, I don’t hate them, but I also don’t want to date them), and I guess fundamentalist, bible thumping right wing fanatics (though not as much hatred as pity). To be honest I also hate really loud, mean, yapping dogs. But I love dogs that are nice and trained. Q. How would you describe your personality?A: Well, I'm definitely not the shy type. I'm very sociable, funny, and open up about almost everything pretty quickly. I'm really an open book. No skeletons left in any closets. I'm very affectionate and not shy about showing it. I'm also rather bookish and intellectual at times, too. If I watch a movie with you, for example, I'll try to engage you in doing film analysis and commentary afterwards. I can talk endlessly about art, philosophy, science, politics, and religion. Ideas are a real comfort zone for me. It's one reason I like educated guys. I'm also the type to be caring and nurturing. I love to cook and will be the first to try to help or heal a bad situation for a man I'm with. Sharing quality time is important to me, so I will always try to do that as much as I can. Q. You don't believe in something as boring and passe' as monogamy do you?I really am looking for a monogamous LTR. I'm pretty liberal and flexible but I really want a committed relationship. I've found I'm pretty good at monogamy. I can honestly say I've never cheated on a man. Q: Would you be willing to relocate for the right man?A: Definitely. Once I’ve got the Ph.D. I’m free as a bird to move where I like. I’m willing to make sacrifices. I wouldn’t want to live too long in a huge city, though. NYC may be cool, but I wouldn’t want it to become my lifestyle. Q: What’s a day in your life like? If I'm single, I I love starting my day with yoga and / or meditation if possible. It’s a sane way to begin If I'm with a partner, I would also enjoy slow, easy, lazy mornings in bed with him--but not EVERY day. I’m very fitness conscious so will try to get to the gym and stick pretty well to a low-carb, high-veggie and protein diet. For breakfast, I often make a green smoothie. I will also spend time with friends or family. I love my work (most of the time) as a psychotherapist. Right now, I’m spending way too much time online most days searching for a good man. But I think finding the right fit is hard. So it requires work.

    Well let's start by staying I am a person who is spontaneous at times. One day I will wake up and take a road trip or venture out somewhere in the city. I enjoy the company of my friends or just alone time. I like doing anything from just a movie at home to going out to the club dancing. When comes to a first date two things are a must: no mention or conversations about past ex or dates......its a real turn off for me. And speaking of turn off...the second is no cell phoneds.
