"Getting quite into this singles thing.. So, the other night I had a singles night for all my odd socks. I put on some music, the wine flowed quite freely and I got all my odd socks together and encouraged them to.. er.. mingle.. Well, sure enough as the evening went on, most of the socks found their perfect partner, it was really very moving. All except this one green sock. Now at this stage I should explain that like most single chaps of my age, I get most of my clothes from Matalan and off dead relatives, and this particular sock had come from my grandfather, I suspect it was from his Army days. As I thought about this sock, it occurred to me that in a funny kind of way, it was a little like myself-..and like me, it was all alone. Eeerrrm... Could you be my missing sock??..." Been here a while now and have met some truly lovely people!. However, the search goes on...Just turning thirty-twelve now and don't really want to think of a future entirely on my own. Not into game-playing, multi-dating or anything like that. I am kind, caring, intelligent, resourceful, generous and witty with a totally knackered sense of humour. Reasonably well house trained and won't wee on your carpet, or anything like that. 6 foot 1, 13 stone, so somewhere between slim and average build. On the down side, as a child I suffered some injuries to my face as a result of an accident. I am looking for someone who will be a close friend and take it from there. Have a good job, own house, cat, car and solvent. I love going for walks, am a bit of a history fan, love any conversation that makes me stop and think and makes me change my perception of something, I enjoy days out to attractions, stuff like that..On my own, I can often be found mending and fixing things and especially love tinkering with my fairly elderly Jaguar or vintage midlifecrisis stupid motorbike or just relaxing, deep in telepathic conversation with my cat, Scrumpy. What makes me different?? Ummm.. I guess at one time I was the strongest swimming spermatozoa.. Mind you, if you're reading this, I suppose you were too... yay!!, see, we already have something deeply in common.. ?! Football? As with most sports, I really couldn't give a fugginmonkeybollock to be honest. Nor am I into spending endless evenings sat in the pub and spending endless evenings watching the telly fills me with the urge to gnaw through my own wrists.. By all means, watch every soap, but, if you force me to watch "Eastenders" please be prepared to forgive me if you hear me making muted squeaking noises as I inflict paper cuts to my winky in order to blot out the unspeakable awfulness of it all. However, I feel that everyone should have a passion of some sort, even football:) Its quite difficult to say what your "intention" is.. put "dating" and you sound like some sort of player, put "I want a relationship" and then it sounds like you are the Norths greatest desperado.. So, I'm kind of looking for someone pretty easy going and down to earth to be a friend first and see where it goes from there... BUT... I am wanting to meet people.. not wanting to endlessly e-mail and chat on here, I have *** I am not too bothered about your history, your appearance, whatever, its personality that counts here,so let me know who you are because I'm struggling to find you and tired of guessing.. Hate that word and the un-natural pressure it brings- I think that's probably why so many of us are still here!!
