When I was kiddo, my dentist told me that one could tell more about a person from their teeth and their shoes than from having a conversation with that person. His philosophy has stuck with me. I want to sit down each evening and compare the day’s events; to listen and to be heard. I want to satisfy my partner’s needs as well as recognize that her needs are my needs too. My ideal companion also has learned from her past, and allows her life experiences to serve her in the present *** becoming a burden. She has inner strength and confidence, and expects to be treated well and with respect. She is independent and strong; and while she does not need me in her life to find purpose or balance, she certainly enjoys her life more with me in it. She is attractive – and that comes from her inner balance, not from a particular look that is deemed beautiful by society. Her ability to stay positive keeps me coming back for more, while her genuine honesty in her actions mean more to me than any “cookie-cutter” response to a profile question. I want to be deeply and inescapably head over heels in love with a very unique and special woman; a woman who walks straight and tall – in her own shoes.
