I love Star Wars - even the prequels. I like Star Trek. I've just started watching Dr. Who on Netflix and I'm enjoying it. I prefer watching things at home if possible - where I don't have to worry about other people damaging the viewing experience, and we can pause to make popcorn, or whatever. But I do like to see some of the big-budget sfx-heavy movies in the theater where they can be best appreciated. I don't watch too much TV. I enjoy Mythbusters. I don't watch "reality tv" - but I don't mind if you do.I've never been really good at sports, and never cared to watch any of them. If you like watching them, I don't mind, but please don't expect me to go see the game somewhere.I love to learn about new things, and how to do new things. I want to be a "maker" - building new things and figuring out how to fix things : making my life better by creating solutions to problems.I don't particularly like big crowds or loud parties. I'd much rather hang out with a few good friends and just chat and joke and enjoy each others company. If you love going out to a club and dancing I'm probably not a good match.I have been working in my job for about 10 years. Because I'm often on-call, my schedule can be weird: some nights and weekends.I'm a very trusting person, and not prone to jealousy. I'm fine with you having friends of any gender and having "you time" with those friends. I'm a very open person. If you ask me a question, I will answer it. I don't get offended easily by personal questions.I'm also a bit dense when it comes to hints. If you want something, TELL me. Otherwise I might just not realize you want it!I'm looking for someone with whom to go places and do things. Someone who has a life, and wants to share hers with me, as I want to share mine with her. Nerdy/goofy/geeky/quirky are all great! Similar interests would be awesome. And I'd love to have someone who would like to participate on DIY projects and tinkering and the like.
