About Me

Everyone's got a story, I'm looking to write a new chapter and need a co-author. I collect bits of sci-fi memorabilia and show props, books, and other things that strike an interest. Enjoy learning new things, old movie quotes, random acts of humor, and trying to calculate the average airspeed velocity of a coconut laden swallow. If there’s an open spot on my bookshelves, I’m probably reading that particular book. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, a night out or at home, a good road trip, or a good movie. Sometimes the bad movies are more fun. Most anything done with someone I care about is something I’m likely having fun doing. It’s not the activity, it’s the company. Looking for someone who knows what she wants and wants to enjoy life doing some of my favorite things, some of hers, and some new ones we find together along the way. I guess that last part's negotiable. I believe that faith and reason are the shoes on your feet, and that one gets further with both than just one. While the answer to life, the universe, and everything may be 42, but finding the question is more important than the answer. If you’re up for finding that question together, the story’s going to be an adventure worth finding out how it turns out. For a first time meet, I'd set up at a place we both know and meet for a drink or two and some good conversation with the purpose of getting to know each other. A second time out? I'm completely ok with social drinkers who maintain control.I'm looking to find my best friend, my companion, and my lover to share my life with. I want her to be the one I can't stand to be without. I know this can not happen overnight but I'm not going to stop it should I feel it going in that direction. I believe in communication, integrity, honor, commitment, devotion, and chivalry (no, it is not DEAD) I love to spoil and be spoiled! I love anything outdoors (as long as it is not cold or snowing). I love running, working out, golf, hockey, racing, softball, swimming, biking, and shopping. Yes, I love to spend money. Quiet nights out are preferred, but loud and rambunctious nights out are fun if done in moderation. I don't mind picking up take-out and cuddling up on the couch with a movie. First dates can be tricky and it all depends on the time of day. I like to make the first date short and non-binding! A nice intimate lunch meeting in the middle of a crazy week. An evening out on the town with dinner followed by an event or just a walk in a park to talk and get to know one another works wonders. If the weather isn't cooperating, then a stroll through the mall or a chat with coffee at a bookstore or coffee house is always good.
