I'm a 40-year old widower that lost my 38-year-old wife suddenly to an unexpected massive stroke. I have 2 boys at home, so though it's not exactly Two And A Half Men, It can be quite interesting. I am a family man that enjoys life to the fullest since you know not what tomorrow brings. I tell those I love that I love them every day, in every phone call, in every way.My professional career has consisted of Radio News and Radio Announcing. I also used to host a 7 night a week karaoke show on the side..I don't mean to sound rude, but I don't have time for drama. I Have been through that before, and it is a MAJOR turn off. I'm an easy going guy that loves to laugh and make others laugh. My perfect match is my best friend. Someone that I can share anything and everything with. In a way, at the end of the day, she would be my diary of sorts. No lies, no secrets. Just respect me for who I am and I will do the same. She has to have a sense of humor, able to laugh at me and the self confidence to laugh at herself. I'm serious when the moment calls for it, but I'm also the kind of guy that could cut a joke at a funeral. I take life as it is and cherish every moment as if it were my last. My perfect match has got to accept me as a package deal. I come with two boys that are slightly ripe, but not ready for picking yet. All this garden needs is tears of laughter and joy to water the crop with and become a part of the garden themselves. I'm not ashamed to show my true feelings. I am a hopeless romantic and if someone doesn't like that, then I'm not the right choice for them. I am an open book and do not believe that either party in a relationship must be dominant. I am sometimes stubborn and do not expect any more or less from my partner. Simply snuggling on the couch watching a movie with the one I love is just as important as anything else. If this interests you, then let's take a chance and get to know each other better. What a first date should NOT be is anything that includes 2 hours in a movie theater staring at a screen *** talking to each other. I believe that a first date should be something casual that encourages conversation. The best first date I ever had was a light lunch on main street, followed by walking through an antique mall and then a casual stroll through a park. The antique mall thing may throw you off a bit, but just imagine how much you learn about somebody when the first thing you see reminds you of, say, something your grandmother always had around the house. "She had one JUST like this... It reminds me of the time... " It is a WONDERFUL way to get to know the REAL person you are with. THen you wrap up everything with that stroll through the park where conversation really blosoms.
