I am not the most public person nor am I a big self-promoter - perhaps a less than ideal combination for this form of meeting people. I am more about getting to know people one to one than trying to get everything you would want to know about me in a 'picture and a paragraph' (as one such site says). I believe myself to be a good friend, casual or otherwise, and intelligent, funny, and loyal. I love the area and all that it has to offer (including 4 real seasons) but I have to admit I am a little sad being out of the South.!!). I am always open to about anything interesting and especially hoping to find someone to explore all there is to do in the DC- I am a tech guy so if it has a chip in it then I am probably on good terms with it. I pick up new things quickly; enjoy learning new things or pursuing existing interests. I tend to pursue interests with passion rather than wandering around from one thing to another. I am competitive, though not insanely so - I figure if you are going to do something you mind as well do it well. Things that perplex me...Why I do the things I do and why others do the things they do fascinates me sometimes. It is always a curiosity to me trying to understand the choices that people make. Different backgrounds, different beliefs, different preferences - all these things lead to such an interesting array of outcomes and choices. Also, why do people stop/stand in doorways? Have they made it through life without anyone explaining to them that doorways are for egress and not a place to stand and check your *** around for your keys?I have been thinking a little bit about carrots of late. Should I buy the full sized carrots that are great for grating up in a salad or something but require peeling and whatnot or should I go with the perfectly bite sized ready to eat baby carrots? It seems a small choice ... but whichever I get I seem to wish I had gotten the other. Life’s little dilemmas, oh well. I could detail something romantic, sexy, and elaborate but I have come to learn from experience that it is more important who you are with than what you are doing or where you are. I think a first date is best done simple so the focus is on learning about the other person and finding out if you enjoy each other.

I like to cook and grill out. I go to the gym ***times a week. My music taste are pretty wide and varied. It would be easier to say what I don't like but that's negative. Talking about music I do like to go to wineries especially if they are having music. I'm thinking about counting the characters right now to see how close I'm getting to the ***minimum. Too bad they don't have a running count meter for this section. I like to bike as in bicycle. I once told someone I wrecked on my bike and they thought motorcycle. That sounds a lot worse so I'm careful to clarify when having a bike discussion now. As to what makes me unique, I was once told at a company meeting that I was diverse. Still not sure if I believe them since you'll never see a picture of me as an example of diversity. Though to be honest they told everyone in the meeting that. In that respect it kind of ruins the uniqueness of it.
