Enjoy my career which lets me travel all over the lower mainland, but realize there is so much more to this Canadian life. Life is a journey with no fixed destination and one should always be open to the possibilities. I have two awesome kids who I have with me part of the time but still lots of time for that special someone. I am looking for someone to date, not a mom for my kids, they already have a great one. Don’ I like to build stuff out of wood but most of my projects end up a little smaller than the blueprints, until they invent a board stretcher. Worked in earthquake re-construction in Japan for a year. It was a remarkable experience to work abroad & have the opportunity to explore another culture, plus for bonus points Osaka has a beer vending machine every 10 feet. One of my memorable long trips spanned from Kathmandu to Kuta Beach and included getting kicked off Mt. Was in the Exuma Cays last winter- brilliant Caribbean at its best! Love off the beaten path adventure but not opposed to a last minute cheap package getaway to the dirty south. That is, if it’s ***and the city is Budapest.On a typical weekend I am down for almost anything. Love wandering aimlessly in a previously unbeknownst part of town, gallery hopping, live theatre or a concert (a few faves from this year: Craigslist Cantata, Lumineers, Stereophonics), going for a hike (avec pic-a-nic & Catch the odd Whitecaps game live, sports on TV, no thanks. Contrary to popular belief, I am not solely an activity dynamo, and have been known to lounge occasionally, preferably with an old Kubrick/ Scorsese/ Stone/ Linklater flic, some cheese/grapes/chips&dip a big bold red or small batch brew, and mutual foot massages.Quotes I value: •Have the right tools for the job and you are 80% there (me) •I subscribe to the law of contrary public opinion. If everyone thinks one thing, then I say bet the other way.•Nec timo nec supremo (neither fear nor despair).
