About Me

I am a 41 yr old guy, separated, and willing to dip my toe in that dating pool again. I am pretty laid back, honest, and have a sarcastic sense of humor, yet I can also be serious when the situation calls for it. I enjoy spending quiet time at home just as much as a wild night on the town. I am definitely not Mr. Handy around the house, but can hold me own and enjoy the challenge of researching a household project and attempting to make it work. I also enjoy World War II history, cooking, going to nice dinners, fantasy football, and going to the range (yes that means firearms). My personality is very curious by default, (translation: I ask questions when I don't get something) and I enjoy educating myself on new topics. I notice that the word 'honesty' comes up in many women's profiles as being important, (as it should be). This seems to imply that a good many men are dishonest, which may or may not be true. Unfortunately it does exist in women too, and it is important that the woman I am with is honest to me. I have one son, who is my pride and joy and do not want any more children at this point in my life. I enjoy every moment I spend with him and loves doing activities like teaching him how to fish, how to hit a baseball, how to look both ways before crossing the street, saying 'please' and 'thank you', and playing him in a COD Black Ops 2 Deathmatch. I enjoy watching pro sports (NFL, MLB, NHL), not a big TV watcher, but enjoy a few random shows. These days I would rather watch a movie or documentary if television is the activity.I am an affectionate person, but I'm also not 'smothering clinger stalker guy'. It makes me feel good to know that I am making the woman I am with feel special. My work is something I enjoy, what I do, not who I am. (In other words, it won't dominate our conversation). I feel that I am knowledgeable about many things, and a genius about nothing.I like to listen to a variety of music, being a child of the 80's, I enjoy that era's music.     I'd like to think i'm a simple no baggage kind of guy. All my kids are young adults in college and I have no crazy x wife drama we actually have remained friends. I have a job I enjoy for now. I'm currently working on my weight and have lost 33 pounds so far since november. It would be great to find someone who is already working out or plans to start and we can workout together and motivate each other.I'm now looking for a relationship, but not looking to jump into anything without getting to know someone first.
