About Me

First and foremost, I wish to become a father and have a wife and family to care for, that is why I would prefer to meet someone in their late 20's/early 30's who is able and wanting to have several children. The rest of this is just background and wishes.I'm the fourth generation on this farm (since ***, but my ancestors have been here since the ***'s. I have been active in my community and served as an officer in two local organizations for 14 years, unfortunately they weren't good settings for meeting single females. Hiding on the farm hasn't been a good plan for meeting eligible bachelorettes, either. But I have heard that some girls like tractor rides (or driving them!) and have a soft spot for animals. ;-) I have a great deal of pride in my family's legacies here, but my priorities are changing and it is time to get started on a family if I am ever going to have one. There is some chance that I would give serious consideration to relocation, a career change or both for the right woman, but you should know that deep inside I'll always be a farmer and want to be outdoors and working with my hands AND mind. It has been tough for me to consider breaking the chain of success my family has had in this region, but perhaps it is time...I'm well read and have a mischievous (but good natured!) personality, I just have been bitten enough that it takes a few minutes to open up and cut loose. I enjoy movies and theater, but tire of attending them alone. I love an occasional exhilarating trip to the big city, but mostly prefer clean air, wide open spaces and quiet. I'm very good with animals and children and would hope to be blessed with a family of my own someday. The children in my photos are my niece and nephews.I'm hoping to meet an intelligent and attractive (in my eyes) woman for dating and varied activities like hiking, museums, orchestra, theater or movies who is open to the possibility of a lasting relationship. Perhaps a woman who has tried the professional career for a few years and is ready to re-direct her efforts to a family, and maybe start a home-based or local business of her own if she doesn't care to partner with me in farming. I really, really need someone to do fun stuff with - all work and no play... well you know the rest... If you like the outdoors and animals and would like to (eventually) raise your future family in the country (or at least want a family), please contact me - creative thinkers can probably track me down elsewhere. Pretty much anything that is simple and lets us both feel at ease. If warm, meeting to walk a local park would be nice. If cold (like pretty much all of ***!), meeting at a restaurant during a slower time or at a bookstore so we can talk (and actually hear).
